Day turned out to prove, once again, that people were over the Dwarf purgery. Today's victim: The Chief of Thranduil's guards. "He is such a drunkard!" The Galion, Thranduil's Butler, stated. "You're one to talk!" The Chief retorted. "Well, you let little thieves come in and steal food! Not to mention you're the one responsible for the keys of the cells. Who's fault is it that the Dwarves were able to escape?" Bilbo stated. That night, the votes were pretty much all the same:

Of course, the namless Chief of Guards was the one cast out. In addition to his cast out, Thranduil had one last punishment to give: " My Chief of Guards (what is your name anyway? )! For letting prisoners escape (and being a drunkard), you are hereby banished from the realm of the Wood Elves of Mirkwood along with all other Elven kingdoms and tribes!! Go!" With that, the namless Chief left in shame.
