Yay my first right answer ok.

I am the beginning of sorrow,

The end of sickness.

You cannot express hapiness without me,

yet I am in the midst of crosses.

I am always in risk,

yet never in danger.

You may find me in the sun,

yet I am never out of darkness.

Who am I?

I coudent think of anything more Tolkein related than that.
