Given all of this, if the 4 hobbits were together in the quest to mordor, and pippin wouldnt have looked into the Palantir, or even if he would, then Sauron´s attention would never be distracted from his lands because his eye and his mind woul hve been fixed in getting that particular hobbit (pippin) or there wouldnt be a reason for him to believe the one ring in the hands of Aragorn or Gandalf or any other mighty being. and then of course it would have been harder for any of them to get to mordor let alone ered gorgoroth or mount doom... probably the four of them would have shared the burden of the ring wich makes me wonder...just like Sam tought of himself as a mighty warrior (and master gardener) what would be the effect of the ring on merry and/or pippin.

Well I think Merry would be okay, but Pippin was weak. I mean he couldn't resist the Palantir or the well in Moria. He'd have a hard time with the Ring.
