Use the two threads so there can be continuous recruitment, and minimal to no downtime between games. That way those who (crazily, and like me) wish to play game after game can, and no mod is forced to wait slowly with no interest in his/her game while his/her own morale and motivation decline.

Sounds good to me, as long as people avoid playing in two games at once and don't neglect one game in their eagerness for the next.
