Though precious it looks, a shiny stone,
it was not born in the earth.
It speaks all day, but no sound is heard,
and no matter how far it goes, it will always end up in the same place.

Oh well, here is the answer (you will all probably think me mad now!)

It's a Goldfish in a bowl.

As for yours Samwise,

Though I am one of many
many people shun me alone--
except maybe on "special" occasions.
In certain places, I am left out completely.
What am I?

I was thinking along the lines of shoes, but on second thoughts I don't know now.
