You want to be a great M-E warrior, and fight against the Orcs. That is until you get hurt-killed-captured by them. War-Fighting is not fun, and usually doesn’t end happily. Just think of all those poor nameless Men, Elves and Dwarfs who never came back to their homes [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

On the other part of this topic, one other series is (almost) as deep as LOTR. Dune by Frank Herbert. Shows wonderfully how power corrupts
