++Ingwe There was an early push to get rid of him, and nothing came of it. He's really not a very interesting sort at all; gets to Valinor and sits at the feet of Manwe blah blah blah. No one likes a goody two shoes. |

Gah, I think I forgot to vote yesterday. Not too bothered about Osse getting voted off, mind you, pain in the backside for his wife and frankly for everyone except the dreary keening Teleri. Still, must keep up the Gandalf push. ++GANDALF Happy to resume normal service on the Ingwe front once old greybeard's gone, Firefoot. Hope you're feeling better, wilwa.

+ + Gandalf Because I'm a dog with a bone and I shall continue to gnaw. Come on, who really wants Mr. Gandalfini to whack all the other contestants? That's what he's trying to do, mark my words!

Just because Osse's not a goody-two-shoes doesn't mean he's not obnoxious. And I don't think I ever said that I wanted Gandalf to survive (I don't want him to win, anyway) - I just like resisting your bandwagons. |

We don't need two dragons like we don't need chocolate or good music or many other things that are not strictly necessary but do make life better.

++Smaug Not only is two dragons one too much, but a sorry excuse of a dragon like Smaug is absolutely superfluous. Dragons, especially flying dragons are a terrible misconception anyway. The bodies of these creatures are fortresses, with the only vulnerable spot being - their belly?? I mean, even if you don't know of it, being unable to kill a flying dragon with a lot of arrows is almost impossible, statistically. Back to the drawing board, Master Morgoth. |

Alright. Case Ingwë (additions to Firefoot's case). 1) A puppet of a storyline, no real character but just someone to fill in for a name of something that had to be told = no persona in his own right. (compare to Smaug or Gandalf!!!) 2) Someone totally taken away by some wonders and chep tricks with light and pompous architecture and shining corners. 3) Making decisions concerning his race on the basis of a desire. 4) Uncharismatic leader as he managed to gather the smallest amount of followers (compared to Finwë and Elwë).

+ + Ingwe What's an Ingwe, precious? We says it canst hold up under torture like poor Smeagol (gollum, gollum). Yess. It just stays nice and safe and lets other nassty elvses with bright swords do its dirty work. We hates it, we hates it forever!

-- Smaug ++Ingwe Though I still think two dragons is too many I'm not so fool that I cannot see by Firefoot's & Nogrod's cases that Ingwe deserves to go before Smaug. And if it still accomplishes my task for the day of 'saving' Gandalf (though I don't want him to win, of course) than that's a plus. |

++Goldberry Another character that I don't understand how she has made it so far. Really, what does she bring to the table? She seems to be there purely as a complement to Tom - certainly she's no better than him, even if slightly less annoying. But if Tom doesn't deserve to stick around, why should she? She's hardly distinctive in herself; even her epithet "River-daughter" is in reference to someone else. Daughter, wife... she can't even live independently, as Tom has to bring her lillies. If she can't support herself, she sure isn't helping anyone else on the island... |

Do we want to have a real climax ending or just do away with interesting personas in passing to leave a random charismatic person in the end to stand up with a nobody? Quite an anti-climax I say... Or is there a secret agenda which calls us to note certain characters and leave the others alone. A small conspiracy perhaps? Maybe we should unravel this plot by voting out all those characters that have not yet received a single vote or who have been most arduosly been defended by "the gang"? Surely there are more people here than possible plotters. Hah.
