Since Tolkien didn't go into specifics on it, we can only guess as to the nature of orc women, and even orc-reproduction.

We must assume that, if orcs have sexual reproduction, they must have a very miniscule gestation period since Saruman was able to generate his massive (though admittedly primarily computer generated... [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]) army so quickly.

I am of the mind that, even though they are corrupted from elves, they might actually engage in asexual reproduction, which is the biological term for one organism reproducing on its own, without procreation. Agree, disagree?

And please don't take us on a sidetrack with wild imaginations about orc-sex, that is NOT the point!! [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img]
