Gollum do you pity him or hate him?

I've had some more thoughts on this topic .I pity him because the one ring is driving him insane [img]smilies/eek.gif[/img] and is killing him bit by bit but mostly I hate hime because he he was in his own words false and tricksy I mean, he led the hobbits in to the lair of shelab! [img]smilies/mad.gif[/img] so my pity for him is degrading quickly!
