In all technicality the starter point is UTC (Cordinated Universal Time) which is commonly referred to as GMT though strictly speaking it is its replacement), and Greenwich Mean Time is self evidently British

It's been a while since I've been to England, so I can't really compare this place to the chippies over there, but I can maintain that they make some of the very best fish and chips I've ever had. It's certainly as good as what I've had in British Columbia.

ah well chips should ideally be twice fried and eaten with fingers from the paper on a seafront. Or made by my late grandmother.... but I am sure they will be fine - it is just the phrase "think of England" always makes me smile

Well, naturally, one can't replicate the proper atmosphere.

Not in the USA, at any rate. We lack a sufficient appreciation for the ordinary and seemingly trivial.
