Grayhavener: no, it's not memorable. Galadriel's brother goes off to start his own kingdom, and it's remarked that she stays behind in Doriath with Celeborn because "there was much love between them" or something of the sort. And poof! That's it.
There's a decent fanfic on the subject, however, if I can just find it again.
