Corwyn Celesil has just left Hobbiton.
Silmaril

I most especially love Tolkien's Elvish names. I love how they each mean something significant. For places, I love Beleriand, Minas Ithil, Ered Wethryn, Ered Luin, Ithilien, Imladris. I love the name Greyfax that J.R.R. had had in mind for Shadowfax. The two trees, Laurelin and Telperion, are marvelous. Charcaroth just sounds grand. For people, I love Celebrian, Beleg Strongbow, Mithrandir, Estel, Imrahil, Elessar, Gil-galad (which always seemed to me to have a faintly Biblical sound), Glorfindel, Cirdan, Thranduil. My three favorites are probably Earendil, Ecthelion, and Failivrin (no one has mentioned this one yet; I love it for its meaning: "the frail Finduilas, that Failivrin, the glimmering sheen on the glassy pools of Ivrin's lake the Elves in love had named anew.")
