Just re-read the posts. Sally said she had an important announcement before Nogrod voted Nilp. Therefore, whatever the crucial thing was, it wasn't that.

Theory: Nilp is the cobbler and was trying to distract us from, say, looking through Wilwa's posts for clues.

Actually, I'm wondering if perhaps the phantom's apprentice really is him. Simply because he and wilwa were the only ones mentioned in that narration and it could be a hint.

I'd say that the cloaked figure completed a task. Probably targeted by the Duck Clan. Then became uncloaked. With the uncloaking, they got a Day kill.

'tis funny that Shasta tried to kill Wilwa - then this other person successed the second time.
