The most I did during this game was hint (a lot) to Mira that I was Hamlet: e.g. saying she was "floaty and suicidal" in that list I made, and talking Hamlet with Nienna.
I'm glad someone picked up my attempted kill on Wilwa.

Perhaps I should reveal my Nightly work?
Given the fact that I could only actually kill ducks, by the end of the game I had a list of known Not-Ducks. Problem was, half were dead. First Night: Brinn. Always a safe bet. Either she died, or I had a reliable ally. She didn't die. I proclaimed my faith in her to the world. Second Night: Nogrod. It is traditional for me to try to kill him. Same reasoning as for Brinn: I needed to know who I could rely on later. Third Night: Rikae. If she was a duck, the village would be done with her. If not, well, whatever. ![]() Fourth Night: This Night I was rewarded for being so well-behaved: I kept my post count below forty, I think it was, and consequently got two kill choices. First choice was Kath. So long, ducky. Second choice was Izzy. I simply wasn't sure. Consequently, the next day I had another known innocent. Of course by that point Gwath had revealed and cleared Nog and Brinn, and Rikae was dead, so my ish-seer skills weren't immediately needed. What was I going to do, say "Yeah! I agree! I know the same stuff about them he does!" So I hushed like a good little wallflower and made sure y'all didn't go and kill Izzy on me. With Durelin suggesting that roles had changed prior to Kath's death, Izzy was the only player I could claim certainty of. I needed her alive as my known innocent. Of course then she died. However, Fifth Night: I bagged Nerwen-duck, which was quite lovely. After all of my 'known innocents' being rendered useless either by death or by Durelin, it felt good to at least have nailed ducks two nights running. And then. Well, if Durelin was telling the truth and people had changed, I had no information to rely on. Izzy was dead, Cobbler-Rikae was gone, Brinn was long gone. I still had Nog around to trust, and Gwath had said Mith and Mac were okay, but if Durelin was telling the truth about multiplying ducks, I had no way of knowing who to attack in the Night. She had to die. The only way I could attack a duck with any legitimate hope of success was to know her role. Hence, "Durelin must die." If she hadn't been lynched, I was going to kill her in the Night. I now humbly depart to do more research. Also, I concur: Shasta's death was amazing. Good game everybody. Thanks, Sally and Mistress Modduckess. And of course Phantom.

k, I'm still confused. How exactly did I end up dead in the middle of a Day??? I know the phantom claimed responsibility (see my sig), but was it actually him or someone else I wasn't worshiping enough

It was Mith. The whole "blinded by the light" thing/seeing her uncloaked.
Apparently she got her list right and knew everyone's roles...as I thought (the knowing everyone's roles part, heh). Edit: Wow. I just noticed that Lommy actually was supposed to get herself lynched. Last edited by Durelin; 03-30-2009 at 07:03 PM. |

Correct. When she got her list completed she got one free kill, and chose Wilwa. To your edit: Hehe. Well, she needed to leave early so I figured why not.

Ooh, this was such a fun game. I enjoyed not feeling like I had to make these long posts and the insanity of everyone was awesome. I was sad to be killed off semi-early.
Well, I may have not exactly been a great ranger, but I'm rather proud about how unusually accurate I was. After I died and found out everyone's roles, I looked back at my posts and saw this from my last Day: Quote:
![]() The only one I missed was Nerwen who I was convinced was innocent (especially after Nienna's death...I didn't think two ducks would vote her and if there was one, it'd be Dury). The only way I probably would've figured her out had I stayed alive would be simply due to process of elimination. I was also pretty convinced Lari was innocent. I'm glad I was actually right this time. And I'm so relieved Kath was a duck since I kept reassuring Gwath that she's almost definitely one...how horrible I would feel if I were wrong. Hmm...I think in future games I will stop over-analysing everything because it seems I'm more accurate when I don't. In fact, on my final Night when I did a long analysis for Gwath I think I became less accurate than I was before the analysis... I spent a long time trying to figure out why I was killed (as I was rather surprised). Was it because you guys thought I was the seer? It didn't even occur to me that I might look seerish; I seriously thought Gwath would be the obvious kill. I had fun watching even post-mortem, even though I nearly had a heart attack after Dury came up with that brilliant fake reveal. While it looked fairly believable, I was rather shocked how quickly some of you accepted it, no questions asked. I think at one point I was yelling at the computer screen, "No, Mac and Nogrod! By turning on each other you're doing exactly what she wants..." Heh. Hard to say how I would've really reacted to that reveal since I already knew her role. I probably would've been a bit skeptical since I often am, plus I would have trouble imagining Sally to be so mean as to change the alignments of those already dreamt of. Well...maybe she would. Izzy's I felt like was a bit more believable simply because of all the clues she left behind...smart move. But I must say that on the final Day I was cheering when you guys figured Dury out. Anyway, good game to all. Everyone did a great job with their various roles. It was very entertaining. ![]() Quote:
