Shasta, of course, has been here for some time, slipping through the door in the wake of Phantom (who, he was sure, missed him entirely due to his egomaniacal delusions [:P]). Having seated himself in an out of the way corner, he fiddled with a silver thumb-ring, twisting it round and round his finger as more and more Barrow-Downers showed up.

Oh, look, Nerwen forgot to take off her cheerleader outfit. Those pom-poms would be recognizeable anywhere.

The others were unfamiliar to Shasta, but he was confident he'd learn all their names soon enough. He leaned back in his chair, balancing it against the wall, putting his feet up on the table and clasping his hands behind his head as he waited to be noticed.
