I think everything everyone else has posted is quite right. If you and your friend cannot find something else to unite over and will let a book tear you apart, I seriously doubt the depth of your friendship. If you need to unload about LOTR, isn't that what you're here for? [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] Just a suggestion, but maybe you two should start fresh and put your disagreement aside.
