But Glaurung was no way cooler than Smaug, he was rather pituful - he was a mere crawling worm. Thus, he was also slain in a rather simpler way. You needed a weapon to bring down a flying dragon to kill Smaug. And lo, behold, here you have the Black Arrow, which was NOT like any other arrow, it came down from the forges of the King under the Mountain, what more, Bard always managed to find it when he used it. That said, its owner was also far cooler guy than that of Gurthang's.
