Hmmm... No matter what I named my sword it would be called 'Hunny' anyways. I can imagine the scenario now..
*Does cool spinny thing with sword* "Alright Hunny, let's do this!" >_<

What was the name of the sword worn by Michael Moorcock's character, Elric of Melnibone? Stormbringer? Good name.
Originally, it was translated as "Low Pressure Cell", which doesn't carry nearly the cache as Stormbringer.

One of the more amusing points in my Lord of the Rings fan life was whilst I was reading FotR for the first time. My friend TheGreatElvenWarrior was talking to me about something and mentioned Frodo's sword. I distinctly remember asking "So what was the sword called? I bet it's something pathetic like Sting . . . ". Yes, I actually said that. TheGreatElvenWarrior thought this was hilarious and finally revealed to me that this in fact the sword's name and I was appalled. I never DID like that name. . .
'The Dragon Disseverer' would have been much better. But then why would anyone want to dissever a dragon? Perhaps 'The Radish Ripper' then. Or even better: 'The Slug Severer', slugs are far worse than Sauron - everyone knows that. |
