You're not going to change people's playing styles just by suggestion, but you're right; it doesn't hurt to try. The problem is that if you leave a code and you die, the code dies with you. Leave obscure enough hints and maybe someone (although as you mentioned you run the risk of it being the wrong someone) will hopefully be able to figure it out even after you're gone.

Not arguing, really, just pointing out things. And for the record I already had a plan worked out for if I was gifted. Alas, it's gone to waste.
