Yes. You really can't force someone to like something. Even though he probably would like it if he gave it a chance, if he got past the foolish teenage stage he's in. Many kids, and adults, though kids moreso, go through phases, these vary. Some people will go with whatever the majority is doing, some might go through a phase where they think all books are dumb ect.

You just have to accept it and hope he changes!
