What do you "assign" to the Shire?

Never heard of her. . .

I always felt weird about Historical fiction and even Counterfactual History, even though it is intriguing, I always fear that some of the fictional part will remain in my brain and with time mistaken for historical facts.

I felt a bit like that but I did read Wolf Hall and much to my suprise really enjoyed it... seemingly my struggle with Tudor and Stuart History at A-Level has worn off a bit after about 20 years...

I assign Heren and Fordim posting on the same thread within 12 hours. A little glimpse of old times which made me ridiculously and disproportionately happy even after a joyful day (sharing the world's delight at the liberation of 33 latter day sons of Aule from the ground and on a personal level a significant improvement in my father' health )

As for myself, I'd like to assign re-finding my passion for writing and finding delight in my quite tedious work.

It may be temporary in fact it probably is since there is no cure for his underlying condition - or anno domini - but every good day is a bonus - and at the beginning of the week I thought we had lost him in mind if not body. So it looks like I get the old buzzard back for a bit and that it was mainly ill not old this time.
