If the Hobbit doesn't work for some reason, a great way to cheer yourself up would be (I apologize in advance, BW, this is not Tolkien related at all...at least I hope not):
Go to your local large convenience store when it's slow over there, like in the morning. Grab a basket and fill it with: rope, whipped cream, strawberries, a pack of Durex, and Polaroid film. Unless the cashier is catatonic, there will definiteley be a reaction.
And if you're still miserable after that, you can go out into the world and do good deeds. Slay a Balrog or two, or help an old lady across the street. That'll make ya feel better, babe, I guarantee it.
