I have two.... Of course the "Witch-King of Angmar" and his nine. Like i said somewhere else, the presence is known before they arrive. Gandalf barely stood against them at Weathertop and they are the most powerful and feared Leiutenants in any story anywhere.
But conversely, I have a spot for Legolas too. Out of the Fellowship, he never lost his cool. He was as good a fighter as any of them, but he had the gentlest side to him. The elvish quality of being "on the same wavelength" as nature is just cool....
