Mith, I love your post! It sounds like Elin is walking on a verbal mine-field, and it's hilarious! :-D And you're absolutely right that Baranduin is the correct, and the original, name; however, how would Al know that?

And speking of him, he's not very bright, and it didn't click that Blackroot is not in the Shire, even though it's obvious that Elin does not live nearabouts.

This should throw in some interesting reactions - he's asking Elin for what she avoids telling.
