Edelfelt's images are nice and beautiful, but certainly lack something. Nasmith's visions are just all too wrong. I think Lee's the best Tolkien artist I know. His etherean and frail images are absolutely beautiful portrayts of Middle-Earth as well as a great source for inspiration for the books.
