AS Inziladun has said, it's very unnecessary. What even could they do? Aragorn's younger years weren't all that interesting, and after Return of the King, Middle Earth was mostly peaceful.

I suppose they could make an original story, but all the book fans would hate it, and all the moviegoers probably wouldn't understand it or like it as a movie.

If they made a movie on a different character that we have lots of information about, that may end up well if nobody got carried away with things that didn't happen. Narn i Chîn Húrin would work really well as a movie, but it would have to be around 3 hours long, and good. I would not stand for another butchered story.
