I dreamed, in a very fitful night, that I was discussing Finrod on the Downs when someone pointed out that the quote from Nellas about the elvenking sending futile expeditions to die in the dry southlands was supposed to be about Finrod. This completely threw me, since it throws my view of him as wise and kind and just into complete disarray.

I am almost certain Nellas said nothing of the sort, but I am genuinely afraid to check.
