It was old Farmer Maggot's daughers who were dancing the hobbit favourite, during the scene at his house in Bombadil Goes Boating:

Goodman Maggot there for all his belt was dancing;
Tom did a hornpipe when he was not quaffing,
daughters danced the Springle-ring, goodwife did the laughing.
