On the other hand, I really enjoy The Lays of Beleriand, a poetic retelling of the story of Luthien and Beren. But I don't think it would work to have the poetic version in the Silm., but the entire narratie ought to be there and the poetry in the HoME. Of course, that's already been said in this thread.
