Helm was called Hammerhand, and he died in a blizzard, when he was besieged in Helm's Deep. The legend is, that when he bore no weapons he could not be harmed, and that you can still hear his horn in Helm's Deep, inspiring terror in the hearts of Rohan's enemies.
