Wood first, Stone succeeds, Gleaming bronze delays foul deeds. Wrought iron Bars the way; Silver hinders All it may. Gold, its glimmer Blinds the eye, And meeting Steel By steel you’ll die. Portals guard, Conceal the Way; Yet Shadow did Steal in and slay.
