Yes, I believe it did based on the following description (from the Silmarillion):

...and the sword of Elendil filled Orcs and Men with fear, for it shone with the light of the sun and of the moon, and it was named Narsil.

Narsil lost its glow when it was broken but gained it back after being re-forged to Anduril. That's at least how I have come to know it.
