Utumno was actually already decimated before the First Age. It was destroyed three Ages before, when Melkor was first taken captive.

Perhaps then, you mean Angband. Of that is said "that its pits were laid bare" etc. You can read about this in the final chapter, Voyage of Earendil and the War of Wrath, in which is briefly described what happened to Angband. In any case, I don't think it survived the First Age, it too, was ravaged.
