Middle-Earth Celebrity Death Match
This game is simple. I will start it off with a deathmatch between 2 characters from Middle-Earth. The next poster picks the winner, gives us a little insight into their choice and then they pick the next death match.
You can match any two characters regardless of affiliation within the lore and the match-ups take place on neutral ground. So let's see your match-up! The first match-up will be this: Durin's Bane vs Smaug

In a shocking twist of fate, the match ends in a technical draw.
It was one of those fights you expected to go on for hours, but it only really lasted about a minute. Smaug began the match by eating Durin's Bane, but proceeded to choke and was rushed to hospital where he later died of massive internal hemmoraging brought on by excessive gold eating and a Balrog in the bowels. The next match is... The Necromancer Vs Bill the Pony.

Bill the Pony was the surprise victor. When the Necromancer saw Bill the Pony coming in for the kill, he split his sides laughing and bled to death.
Tom Bombadil vs. Ioreth

Tom Bombadil, not-so-shockingly, won.
One dance, and Ioreth's eyes exploded. Next match: Gollum vs. Treebeard |

Gollum was the winner. That was because before Treebeard finished his sentence "Good morning, Gollum, I am Treebeard and unless I am mistaken, we should have a fight here to show which one is the better" in old Entish, Gollum was able to invent and learn to use a machine gun.
Next match: Glaurung vs. Roac the Raven

You see Roac the Raven won very surprisingly, because he could talk to Bard the bowman, and he's really good at killing dragons.
The next duel will be between Denethor Son of Ecthelion Steward of Gondor vs. Sauron

Denethor wins after he verbally abuses Sauron so much that Sauron becomes emotionally disturbed and throws the Ring into Mount Doom just to escape from Denethor.
Next Match: Wormtongue vs. Shelob |

Wormtongue wins, because Shelob's eyes cannot stand the sight of him. The moment she sees him coming, she falls over and begins screaming something that sounds strangely like "My eyes, my eyes!!!! This is worse than when that nasty little hobbit creature blinded me with that Phial and shanked me! Aaaaah the horror!!!" Shelob crawls away into a dark corner and eats herself, much like her predecessor Ungoliant.....
Next fight: Morgoth v. Sauron I have always wondered what would happen if those two went head to head.... |

Sauron, because he caused an uprising among the lower ranks.

Lobelia wins, naturally. When she is about to use her special trick, give the Barrow-Wight Sharkey, he locks her up in a Barrow.
Poor Barrow-Wight! That he shouldn't have done. The next moment occurs an earthquake, very untypical to the North-Western parts of Middle-earth. Lobelia's opened umbrella saves her but the Barrow-Wight is crushed under the falling stones. Beren vs. Lúthien

Luthien wins by filing a sexual harassment charge
against Beren for stalking her through Beleriand. Lobelia vs. Rosie Cotton
