1420!

Think about putting your thread in the appropriate section next time please, thanks.

I like all three of the LotR books, but I'd say my favorite one is the FotR. The other two were great, but I like the first because its the begining of the story and it has my favorite part in it. My favorite part includes the chapters from the Old Forest to Strider, and especially, the part with the barrow downs.

Oops...I thought that he meant FotR/TTT/RotK. If you mean the 6 books (the two in each of the three, i.e. III and IV in TTT), then I'd say book I of course.

Of course there are 6... but they are most often referred to as three books, because it has been printed most often in that form...

I have to say i like the ROTK books the best, which would probably be book 6..

RoTK. The ending makes me cry, yet it is a good cry.

The first and the last. The first because it is funny and everything is simple and the last because everything gets resolved and then the grey havens make me cry.

Well since I have only read FotR, TTT, and RotK, I'd have to say RotK.

Books III and IV, the Two Towers. The mood was best for me; not as light as FotR, but not as depressing as RotK. (I always cry in RotK.) So, as you can probably guess, I'm counting down the hours until the 18th...
