Missing a topic???
If you are looking for a topic that used to be here in THE BARROW-DOWNS, one of two things has happend to it.
1) It has been moved to MIDDLE-EARTH MIRTH.(Don't panic!) 2) It has been deleted.(Panic!) We're just moving things around to clear up some clutter. P.S. We are moving threads around as we have time, so if your topic is here today but gone tomorrow, go look for it in mirth!

MIDDLE-EARTH MIRTH is what MIDDLE-EARTH MAYHEM used to be. I didn't know what you were talking about Barrow-wight, until I looked around. The Barrow-Wight even put up a new anouncement at the top of the section of the forum as to the reason for changing it. I hope this clears up the confusion I had.

And for all Walkers, please don't panic like I was on the verge of doing. The WtR thread has been moved to ME Mirth, and it is completely safe and sound.

Barrow-wight,
Ah....I just found one of my old threads in the new section you've created. "Haudh-en-Ndengin" - My knowledge of Sindarin and Quenyan is fairly non-existent. Do those words have something to do with "Obituaries" (or the Middle-earth equivalent) which is what the English heading says? I sat down and browsed over a few threads in that section. Some of them make compelling reading. Will you be roaming the back threads in Books and adding more to this section? sharon [ June 24, 2003: Message edited by: Child of the 7th Age ]

Earlier today when it was just "The Barrow-downs," I searched it and middle earth mirth or the "typos or is it a freudian slip" thread and did not find it. Does any know where it went?

Could it have been combined with 'Merendis's List of Misused Homophones'?

Haudh-en-Ndengin
'Mound of the Slain' The great burial mound of Elves and Men slain in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad (Battle of Unnumbered Tears - @ 473 1st Age; the fifth, and most disastrous battle in the Wars of Beleriand. The Noldor and their allies, the Edain were utterly defeated.) The grass grew green and long there, though the rest of Anfauglith was a barren waste. Also called the Haudh-en-Nirnaeth (Mound of Tears) [ June 24, 2003: Message edited by: piosenniel ]

Child: yes, they are definitely interesting reads! I even regret not posting in them past threads
I have a suggestion about those jewels wisdom in threads' worth: Why not compile them into actual articles? I'd love to volunteer for this, but I would take SO MUCH time to finish even one. But no doubt, it would be fulfilling. btw...when did all the moving start? I was on last night and coming back today (at "work"), I was surprised at the addition to the Announcements section. Trippo: If you really want to see where it is (that's if it hasn't been deleted), then just type the name of the thread into the search function, and if you've posted in that thread, then enter your member number into the appropriate box, and search away. Try searching the sections you think it might be in first, and if you still can't find it, then try other sections. If you still can't find, well, I don't think you ever will again, it was probably deleted. Good luck.

Nurumaiel, thanks for the directions to The Walk to Rivendell! I thought that I had entered the twilight zone when my bookmark kept coming up "That topic does not exist".

I found it! It was on the second page of Middle-Earth Mirth. Terribly sorry for the off-topic Mr. BW.

I do miss my birth/deathday thread. I was going to use it in years to come to impose my great personality upon you all with boring count of the milestones of my presence here
well, as one of my friends used to say: Дронты вымерли давно Потому-что жизнь - говно One who will may spend a bit of precious time trying to guess out what this masterpiece may mean. One cracking it and translating most graciously will be rewarded with a surprise Oh, well, nice day to you all

Wow things change when you have not been on for a few weeks… I was like what in middle-earth has happened everything feels different. But I like it. When did SaucePanMan become a moderator… that’s so cool congratulations!
