Silmaril How the elves got to Helm's Deep...?

What do people make of these photos? From RotK do you think? The extended edition of TTT? Or deleted scenes?
Elrond and Celeborn

Elrond and Arwen
The photos seem to go together, and don't seem to fit it with anything we've seen yet.
Then there is this one, which seems to continue something that the others start: Arwen and Galadriel
What's the verdict?

Interesting. the Arwen and galadriel one looks like its from the extended version. Dunno about the Elrond and celeborn one though (the other says bad gateway). Are they at Rivendell, or Lorien?

Ok, I think that the Elrond/Celeborn picture was supposed to be in the Two Towers but got cut. It may or may not be in the extended version. I think it will definitely not be in ROTK. We shall see.
The Elrond/Arwen picture did not show up for me, and it's probably because I'm on a really slow computer.
The Galadriel/Arwen picture is probably Arwen and Galadriel talking about Arwen's decision of a mortal life in ROTK. I don't think it was in any TTTs (extended or theatrical).
We shall see

Ok, I can't get the one of Elrond and Arwen to work now. I'll try and find it again and put it back up properly. They both looked quite upset in it though.
I think the Elrond and Celeborn pic was meant to be in Lothlorien - aren't they the same steps we saw in FotR? According to the website, Elrond goes to Lothlorien to persuade Celeborn to send the elves to Helm's Deep.

I must admit that sounds kinda odd to me - in the films (both FotR & TTT) the Lorien Elves seemed to be the ones most worried about the fate of Middle Earth - compared to Elrond I mean - & the ones most likely to send help. But, as Maika says, we'll have to see what the Extended version TTT reveils on this subject.

I think they all should be from RoTK because in the books that is the only time Celeborn/Elrond and Arwen/Galadriel are together... but seeing what has changed in the movies this far who know? Also in TTT Haldir say to Theoden that Elrond wishes to reunite the elves and men in battle once again (something to that affect... you all know what I'm talking about.) From that Elrond may have been in Lothlorien. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Interesting pictures, most likely scenes cut from TT or from ROTK. In TT when it was decided elves would go to Helms Deep it seemed like Elrond and Galadriel were talking almost telepathically. I liked the one with Celeborn, he's a deep character who gets almost no screen time.

Elrond and Arwen looks like a promo shot to me. Not from the film would be my guess.
Elrond and Celeborn looks like stock that was never used. The communication between Elrond and Galadriel seemed to be long distance in TTT. My guess is that this was an alternate way they may have thought of having them communicate and then they dumped the idea.
Arwen and Galadriel? Maybe Arwen goes to Galadriel for advice on what to do. Maybe it will appear in a special edition of RoTK, but my guess is that it was dumped as well.
H.C.

Oops, thanks Tar-Palantir, don't know how that happened, and was too tired to see that mistake staring me in the face.

In the photo story-book version of the two towers which I bought for my 5 year old there is a council of the elves in which Celeborn, Galadriel and Elrond discuss whether or not to send the elves. It implies that while Galadriel and Elrond wanted the elves to go Celeborn did not.
I don't know how accurate this is but the scene where Aragorn lets Brego go free is also in it. As is a discourse between Merry and Pippin about not letting the orcs/uruks know they don't have the ring or else they will be killed.

I forgot the part where it describes how Faramir leads Frodo and Sam through the old sewers in Osgiliath to get them past the orcs.
I agreee, sounds like potential extended material, but who knows for sure until it comes out.
[ January 27, 2003: Message edited by: gilraën ]
[ January 27, 2003: Message edited by: gilraën ]
