Oooooh gotta be the battle in Mordor at Mount Doom. When you hear the defeat of Sauron on Dolby Digital sound, it's incredible. There's this awesome BOOM when everyone is getting laid down by that blast.<P>That's my favorite big battle scene. My favorite face-off is Galdalf and the Balrog.<P>BUT watch us all eat our words when TTT comes out. The preview gives me chills! Seeing the orcs banging their weapons...boom boom boom....oooooohhhhh 3 more weeks....

I just got to see TTT that was on the end of the FOTR when it was in theaters.<BR>I love the part where Theoden is saying that poem and you can hear the orcs beating in rhythum with the poem. It's so cool. <P>Anyway,<P>I liked the battle in Moria because it was the entire Fellowship fighting together.

Nah, the Orcs in Moria and the Balrog are my favorites. Especially the cave Troll.

I think Amon Hen is one of my favorite scenes ( besides Moria and Weathertop) because ...well it's so cool! Aragorn tells Frodo to run and he goes to face the uruk-hai; it was just so cool to see him raise his sword in front of his face...as if challenging them...it was so..King Arthurish.

I liked them all. I liked mostly the ones where you could see clear blade-parrying, such as when Aragorn battled the Ringwraiths. The other sword stuff was a bit jerky. Not that I didn't LIKE it, it's just that it could have been a bit more clear.

I like them all, but I like Amon Hen the most because of a few reasons. Like that stab and shoot thing Legolas does with his arrow. And also, it includes Boromir's last stand, which was so incredible! When I watched it I had to tear up a bit. And of course, I love watching Aragorn's fight with Lurtz!

Amon Hen is my favorite from FOTR. There is great sword-play, bow action, and axe action. And we can't forget the heroism of that scene *chokes up*<P>I just got done re-reading the Helm's Deep chapter in TTT. I cannot wait to see that battle. <BR>I am really, really looking forward to the Seige of Gondor, though, I must admit. That, and Gollum and Frodo's final stand-off *chills* at Mount Doom!

Amon Hen was a fantastic battle scene. One of the best that depicts courage and strength. It picked up all efforts and skill of the fellowship. It ellucidated Legolas's magnificent skill with his bow, which was lovely. And Aragorn's skill with his sword was great. Boromir's courage was one of the highlights of the battle. I truly loved this battle scene

Moria has got to be the best, in FotR anyway. "They have a cove troll" cracks me up every time. <BR>*looks back at other posts* I feel my reason was insufficient... oh well

Amon hen is a good battle it has to be said , you've got bravery from Aragorn , Boromir's bravery until the very end (despite his attempt to take the ring) <BR>Merry and Pippin running (it's quite funny until they captured) The changing point of the story Frodo leaving after it ..... legolas arrows flying everywhere.<BR>Also The battle of the last alliancehad pretty cool effects , good way of interpreting from the books

Okay, I have to go with the consensus, and say that yeah, Amon Hen is probably the best battle scene in Lord of the Rings. (So far) <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:<HR> the battle scenes are longer in the extended version! <HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>Really? I can't wait! There are a few things stalling me from gettin' my hands on the extended edition at the moment, but I'll probably have it before the year is out!

I enjoyed Moria the most. Balin's Tomb is simply splendid...<P>"They are coming..."<BR>Drums, drums in the deep.<P>Love it!<P><BR>Now that I'm slobbering over battle scenes the one I am anticipating most is not Helm's Deep, but the Ride of the Rohirrim/Battle of Pelennor Fields. Just think of Theodon...<P>"Forth Eorlingas!"<BR>I also hope they include the poems sung by Eomer and Theodon.

I can't really pick a specific scene (I loved them all too much) but my favorite thing about the fights is Legolas. His bow/knife fighting is AWESOME. I can't wait to see Helm's Deep, when he has more orcs to kill!

Yeah whoo!!!! TTT!! Helm's Deep is going to kick your *** (Direct quote from PJ) By the way don't those archers have a kind of elven look to them, not to mention the spearmen, very Last Allience indeed.
