I mean, whoever said Gimli was a guy?

And people give me funny looks for my theory! I'm not the only one! Gimli-females united! Haha...I actually wish Tolkien had given us more about Dîs, the only Dwarf Queen...or just more about the Dwarves in general. I just gravitate towards the Elves because that is the race that Tolkien seemed to have developed the most, especially concerning culture, music, and language. And, as they said, they have The Silmarillion, an entire book nearly dedicated to the history of the Elves.

I disagree, Beren87. I think that The Silmarillion greatly decreases the Elves' perfection. They were not all peachy/happy during the book: there was a lot of treachery and death during the Elvish history. Sure, they get plopped back on Middle Earth after a time, but they still go through the whole "dying" process and they kill each other.
