As to the pronounciation...I don't know if it's "correct" or not. But I always pronounced it Smeegol when I read the book. Trying to say Smay-ah-gol...sounds, pardon the negativity, stupid. I mean...say it. I know I can't do it without pausing. So I personnaly can't imagine Elijah having to say it without the audience gong, "Huh?"<P>As to the picture, here is another one at the finding of the Ring, before he kills Déagol.
