Gurthang is joyous to behold. He is tall and cheery and his shaggy hair perfectly matches his care-free nature. He is loved by all. When he walks down the street, children flock to him. Even animals surround him, eager for some company. He is rather Bombadil-esque in this regard. Some say that he can speak to the birds and the beasts.

He is also rather Beorn-esque in that regard. Some say that he can even take the form of a bear.
