Fortunately (for Gandalf at least) that meant he actually became a Balrog and he could compete better with the one in Moria

Unfortuantly, as i gather taht gandalf is now inexplicably evil, he just joined up with teh balrog, and the balrog's cousin, johnny teh stinky balrog, and hit the town for a rampaging good time.
