Eww to the double post, but:

When you're flicking through the music channels and get very excited at the caption; "Oasis Live at Barrowdowns". However, as you joyously point this out to your father he gives you a despairing look, and you realise that in fact is says; "Oasis Live at Barrowlands."

I was bitterly disappointed.

When all of your friends has The Barrow-Downs as a "bookmark" and they did not make it one them selves. . .

(it makes it easier for me to take a quick look at what is going on)

The whole "you know you're addicted to the Barrow-Downs when you only have 'Downers on your MSN list" has been done before... but I sadly never realized how true this was for me until I organised my contacts into categories yesterday (for the first time). The breakdown was, as follows:

'Downer Girls: 9
'Downer Guys: 5
Not 'Downers: 5

But if you want to know what's REALLY pathetic about that... of those five "Not-Downers" (and yes, those are the categories I named them and moved them into), one is a sibling, and so doesn't count- and Two of them are people who are friends of 'Downers. Had it not been for the 'Downs and the people THEY chat with... well, my stats for non-'Downers would look even worse.

Really, it's just... sad.

It's also a sign of addiction when your favourite newspaper is "The Downer".

Well, you're only human.

Another sign could be that you have The Barrow Downs set as your home page. Also, (I realised this today) when you sort your history by most visited, The Barrow Downs come far, far above the others.

Moreover, your main disappointment in not going to Oxon moot is that you wont get to meet some Downers.

Valesse has just left Hobbiton.
Is isn't really about addiction of the barrowdowns, but...

You know you're addicted when you wake up from a nap snuggled close to a copy of the Silmarillion as if it were a plush animal, but you have to admit it was some pretty good sleep.

Loggin on from a ruddy Internet cafe just to tell you all that I've seen 'em filming Northern Lights. I am, admittedly totally beside myself with excitement as I do love the books!

Anyway, I'd better get back to the pub, hadn't I?
