Well, that's not terribly far off. My family is largely of Polish/Russian/Ukrainian heritage. My screen name here looks a lot like some of my relatives' surnames. When people ask things like, "what's your mother's maiden name?" you say it and start spelling before they even ask. And they still look at you like you just sprouted mushrooms in your nostrils.
