There were two reasons I reused that line;

First, I liked that joke and wanted to do it again.

Second, I was interested in drawing a neat little picture of how Peter is quite similar to Alien, even though he would hate to admit it. And he eventually gets his comeuppance for his cruelty to John Fillis, I suppose.

I don't know if you can tell, but in the background there are lots of little rats heading off to see Fr Formy. Thanks to Alien's 'gift' in their previous episode.

Only now that you mentioned it, I realised it's a baloon... a red baloon... if you know what I am talking about... that surely raises connotations... Fungoltch and Shcmurt?

This week, we have a special version of The Downer, written and printed by four year olds. Some of you will say 'so what's new there'? Well... Um... I'm not sure...

If you want the original drawing, I'll send it to the first person to write me a story for next week.

Oh, by the way, in two weeks, we'll be back to THE DOWNER proper. I hope you've enjoyed these experiments. But next week I'll do one more special thing.

But now, we have a special guest in P&A. See if you can guess who he is...

This adventure will get very, very silly. Just so you know.
