Samwise
04-05-2004, 06:49 PM
This probably won't last long, but:
Would I have the moral stature to deal with it? I don’t think most people would have had the stature to deal with it.
There it is. Have at it. ;)

OT: Hey, I have a question: The hobbit girl who wants to catch the bouquet at Sam and Rosie's wedding, and Pippin gives her the eye, is she supposed to be Diamond? Is she credited as Diamond? Does anybody know?

Everdawn
04-11-2004, 06:28 PM

Eruwen
04-12-2004, 12:50 PM
I got it? Ha! I didn't even use google this time! I guess my lucky Dom guessing has helped me again. Ok, here's the next quote...
"...a piece of my life, a shard of my heart, has been torn out."
There ya go. I'm not sure how long this one will last. Probably not as long as my last one, but still. Have at it, everyone!!!:D
Samwise
04-12-2004, 03:49 PM
...but this quote just reminds me of Sean Astin . It's probably not him, but it reminds me of him... :p
Gorwingel
04-12-2004, 04:17 PM
This quote sounds so depressing... I have no idea, but I will guess Elijah Wood?
Iaurhirwen

Mad Baggins
04-12-2004, 06:04 PM
Hmm...Bernard Hill?
Eruwen
04-12-2004, 06:29 PM
Yep, it figures. You try to fake people out by putting a quote said by the same guy whom the last quote was by, but it just doesn't work. Oh well. I guess my luck only lasts so long with Dom. Well, Iaurhirwen, congrats! You got it!
Oh, and the quote actually isn't that sad if you know the rest of it. You see, it comes from a segment of the Actor's commentary on the TTT EV DVD. Billy and Dom were talking about how aweful it is for viewers in the 50 minutes of the movie that Merry and Pippin are not shown. Dom said that it must feel like "...a piece of my life, a shard of my heart, has been torn out". So, really, it was actually quite funny when I heard it. Lol. :p
Iaurhirwen
04-12-2004, 08:39 PM
It is amazing how simply reading the context of a statement can change the whole thing around. :smokin:
Ok, time for a quote. Hmmmmmmmmm
I think we all know how much helping someone else makes us feel good and yet we all don't do it enough. I suppose it's everyone's journey in life to try and become better people and by trying to learn from these experiences and feelings.
*evil smile*
Ok. Get Guessing.
Gorwingel
04-12-2004, 11:20 PM

Anyhoo, If you manage to get back here with the correct answer before anybody else does . . . . you get it. If somebody beats you . . . . . . sorry :(
We are still awaiting the correct answer. Do you[/U] know what it is?

04-13-2004, 10:26 PM
Alrighty, the next quote is:
It was like, “What the hell! How am I supposed to do this?” As soon as you turn over, you can’t see anything. It was like, “Please land right. I don’t want to land on someone. I better get up quickly before someone lands on me.”
That's a fun one!
Everdawn
04-13-2004, 11:30 PM

Everdawn
04-23-2004, 01:09 AM
He was constantly playing with the plastic wrappers and making all this crunching noise that it was driving Ian McKellen crazy.
Hehehe :p
Evisse the Blue
04-23-2004, 05:08 AM

Everdawn
04-23-2004, 05:36 AM

Eruwen
04-23-2004, 01:34 PM

Bombadil
04-25-2004, 02:22 PM
I wish i could say i knew it was the answer...but I guessed - and guessed well it seems, lol. OK, i hope this hasn't been used yet...
It was a really good thing for him to do, because someone in such an elevated position rarely gets the chance to be so humiliated, so psychologically tortured and mentally abused. And I was really pleased he went through all that.
Eruwen
04-25-2004, 02:28 PM
That's an interesting quote. And, strangely enough, it could be by a number of people and about a number of people as well. I'll say Chris Lee.

Mad Baggins
05-05-2004, 04:34 PM
Super! What was he talking about, btw? That quote tickled my fancy.
It's got a battle sequence that will kick your arse.
This one will probably be fairly easy. I had to modify it just a titch because of the last word.
Lindir
05-05-2004, 05:26 PM
The quote Sean said was about the fake rocks they made for Emyn Muil in a studio. I think he leaned on one, and ripped it...or maybe he was just joking...I dunno.
Here's my guess: Richard Taylor, or Alex Funke?
Iaurhirwen
05-05-2004, 05:58 PM
Not exactly an actor . . . . Peter Jackson?
Gorwingel
05-05-2004, 08:46 PM

Gorwingel
05-06-2004, 10:02 PM

I'll post a new quote! I wonder who it is... Yes! I was up at 5 am every morning getting my feet put on. You don't see my feet at all in the first film, but you may see them more in the third film. I had the most amazing wig, it was beautiful, and it was made from real hair.
could it be a hobbit?

No, I have every sentence ever said by anyone remotely connected to the movie memorized. As do we all, Mad Baggins. Ha...I wish I did, for your new quote is kinda hard. I'm thinking it is a girl, but I'm not sure. I'll go with Miranda Otto.
Mad Baggins
07-02-2004, 02:25 PM
It seems you do, Rinfanawen, because Miranda Otto is the answer! She was talking about how the horsewomen at the Pellenor Fields didn't like the beards, but it did something odd to the men.

Two in a row? Wow, I must be on a role, or something. Okay, here's the next quote...

Have at it, all.....

So it's Evisse's turn now. Again, sorry for the delay.

How about this then, in response?
Like any form of magic or war story, the books are incredibly dark. They're primal as well as fantastical, so I think it's important to have a director who has his feet planted in gore and fantasy.
