If you think about this for a second, you will realize it's not that hard. And there are a limited number of people it could be. So go at it.

Well, I have thought and I don't seem to come up with the person that said this.......My guess is Orlando Bloom... smilies/biggrin.gif

Eruwen
06-24-2003, 07:07 PM
Well, what I meant, is it would be easy to tell what this person was talking about. Then it would be a little easier on who to guess. And sorry, try again.

Samwise
06-24-2003, 09:38 PM
Sorry, Miss Eruwen, no clue.

Liv Tyler?

Eruwen
06-25-2003, 08:25 AM
And sorry, Samwise, that's not it either. If after the next person guesses and no one is still getting the idea of what it could be about, then I'll give a clue.

Finwe

John Rhys-Davies?

Samwise
06-25-2003, 03:20 PM
Dominic?

Eruwen
06-25-2003, 03:21 PM
Uh, let's see, Orofaniel and Samwise {her 2nd} has been the closet to it. Here's a hint, well two hints:

1. This event included a few members of the fellowship.

2. The quote can be found somewhere on the Downs if you look close enough.

But no one's got it right so far, so keep guessing!

You are both in the same area of people, but, for once, no Sam is not it, and neither is Ian. Keep guessing, you guys are so close!!!

Samwise
06-25-2003, 03:54 PM
LOL..for ONCE....Billy?....and I sure like to know what you mean by the "group of people"....;(

Orofaniel

Elija wood then? smilies/wink.gif

Eruwen
06-25-2003, 08:58 PM
I'm actually shocked that people aren't catching on quicker. If you read the quote and think about what the person meant by "not in the same place" then you would get it. Or, I hope you would. It's a very popular event that happened while the actors were in New Zealand. Ooh big hint, but, the event was used as a lasting memory of their times together making the movie.

But neither are right. Yes, the choices are dwindling down! This is so exciting. smilies/wink.gif

Well, okay, you're talking about the tattoo. But....NOT Ian Holm.....
Are you SURE it's not one of the ones we've already said???

For that matter, are you SURE it's not Elijah? (whom Oro has mentioned). Seeing as how he got his in the rather unusual place...

Since this thread has become very long, I am closing it in the interests of conserving bandwidth. I will open a fresh thread so that the game may continue and post the question, clues given and guesses made so far.

The Saucepan Man

This is a continuation of the original Actors' Quotes game. Simply guess which actor from the LotR films said the stated quote.

The current quote, posted by Eruwen, is:

Not in the same place as their's!

She has given the following clues:

If you think about this for a second, you will realize it's not that hard. And there are a limited number of people it could be. So go at it.

Well, what I meant, is it would be easy to tell what this person was talking about. Then it would be a little easier on who to guess. And sorry, try again.

2. The quote can be found somewhere on the Downs if you look close enough.

The following guesses have been made:

Orlando Bloom
Liv Tyler
John Rhys-Davies
Dominic Monahan
Sean Astin
Billy Boyd
Elijah Wood
Sean Bean

The correct answer is yet to be found.

Please continue. smilies/smile.gif

Narduewen
06-26-2003, 08:19 AM
Well, if it is talking about the tattoos. than the only one left since Ian was already guessed, would be Viggo

Eruwen
06-26-2003, 09:05 AM
Thankyou, Narduewen!!! I was searching for a Viggo quote since he is hardly ever used and it would be a little tougher. I guess my plan worked. smilies/tongue.gif You know how I said you can find the quote on the Downs? Well here's the link to the topic...A Distinguishing Mark (http://forum.barrowdowns.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=002153)

Anyway, Narduewen, it's your turn!

Samwise
06-26-2003, 04:47 PM
Sheesh. That took awhile, didn't it. Figures...I've always got my mind set in the direction of the Hobbits. smilies/rolleyes.gif
Oh, well. Next quote? smilies/wink.gif

Narduewen
06-27-2003, 09:05 AM
Here's the next quote.

"...that was lovely."

I will have a limited acccess to the internet during the next three weeks, so be patient after you give a quess.

Elijah Wood. I've heard him say that a million times, but I think this was the time he was talking about having a 5:30 call in the morning, I think. I'm pretty sure. I've watched my DVD so many time, I'm almost positive.

Narduewen
06-27-2003, 01:14 PM
Thats correct. Your turn.

Eruwen
06-27-2003, 06:46 PM
Yep, I know Elijah Wood a mile away. {Ahem} Anyway, here's the next quote...

I've changed so much, and I thought, oh God, I would have done that different now. What was I thinking? I obviously wasn't. I was so nervous. I'm so tense. There's things like that.

There was more to this quote, but I figured it not "appropriate" for this site {due to mysterious reasons}, but here it is. So have fun guessing, and it probably won't take long before someone guesses the right answer.

Orofaniel
06-27-2003, 07:13 PM
Liv perhaps? smilies/wink.gif

Viggo, then? smilies/wink.gif

Samwise
06-28-2003, 12:15 PM
Uh....

Cate Blanchett?

Eruwen
06-28-2003, 01:52 PM
Sorry, no. Wow I felt like it would be over before now. You see, the one who said this is rarely used for quotes, but this person is ALWAYS guessed. In other words, it's a very common name for guessing, but not so commonly used for his/her quotes.

Eruwen
06-29-2003, 01:27 PM
Yes! Someone got it! Orofaniel, congrats. Yes, it was the Elf himself. Orlando Bloom is was. There was, as I said, much more to the quote, but it cannot be put onto the site. But Orofaniel, it's your turn!

NOPE, not him either..... smilies/evil.gif

I didn't thought it would be that difficult, well at least you haven't waited in vain for a quote that would be easy... smilies/wink.gif

Your up!

Samwise
07-07-2003, 11:56 AM
Whoa....

Okay, I'm going to hunt for a quote. smilies/wink.gif

Samwise
07-07-2003, 12:03 PM
Okay, here we go.
It was always something I was interested in. It was always something I knew I was capable of and from an early age my mother was involved in the film industry
It probably won't be your first guess. smilies/wink.gif

Eruwen
07-07-2003, 03:16 PM
Awww, Samwise, you got it and then gave a tough quote. But, for some reason, it seems very familiar to me. I orignially thought Elijah Wood, but I'm not sure. Until I find out where I've heard it from though, I'm going to go with him. Elijah it is.

Orofaniel
07-07-2003, 03:54 PM
I would go for Elijah too, but since it's already been said I'm guessing soemone else......How about Liv? smilies/biggrin.gif

EDIT after seeing Horsie's post: NP=)

Thanks for the congrats, Oro!

I am going to guess Ian Holm. I don't know why...it's a hunch.

Samwise
07-07-2003, 05:46 PM
Nope
Nope
Nope.
If I had seen it, I would have thought Elijah, too...but it's not.
Not Liv or Ian Holm, either.
(Sorry, Miss Eruwen. smilies/wink.gif)

Neferchoirwen
07-07-2003, 08:49 PM
I was about to say Peter Jackson, but wait, not, he's the director...

So has a mother in the industry?

Orlando?

Samwise
07-07-2003, 08:54 PM
Actually, Jackson did have a couple of bit parts in the movie...

but it's not either of those guys, either.

Neferchoirwen
07-07-2003, 09:02 PM
Now I'm taking a wild guess...

Sean Astin.

Samwise
07-07-2003, 09:05 PM
No.

Orofaniel
07-08-2003, 04:41 AM
Maybe it's Viggo, again......?? smilies/wink.gif

Eruwen
07-08-2003, 08:09 AM
Well I was going to say Sean Astin seeing who his parents are, but it's not right. So, I'm going to go with an out-of-the-blue, but somewhat typical person for you, Samwise, so I'm going with Karl Urban.

Eärendil
07-08-2003, 09:55 AM
Which means that you will soon be told your guess was correct and that you can continue. smilies/biggrin.gif
(Okay folks, I am off for a festival tomorrow, yippe!) *smiles*

Samwise
07-08-2003, 11:56 AM
Typical? If you say so, Eruwen...go ahead and post a quote.

Eruwen
07-08-2003, 07:40 PM
I got it right? Are you sure? I was just guessing. But anyway...here's the next quote.

"These things are like boats with toes."

That narrows down the choices a bit, but there it is and this time I'm looking for who said it and what they are talking about. It won't be that hard.

Neferchoirwen
07-08-2003, 09:43 PM
Sam talking about the Oliphaunts?

Samwise
07-08-2003, 09:47 PM
Sir Ian Holm talking about the prosthetic Hobbit Feet. That's the very first quote that was in the old thread. "These things are like boats with toes on them!"

Gwaihir the Windlord
07-09-2003, 02:00 AM
Are you sure it wasn't Elijah Wood that said that?

Eruwen
07-09-2003, 07:32 AM
It was, Samwise? Huh...what are the odds...I actually went to an Ian Holm site to find it. Well, you did a good job searching I guess, cause you got it right. So go ahead Samwise.

Samwise
07-09-2003, 09:07 PM
Hm...okay, be back with a quote ASAP...

Samwise
07-09-2003, 09:14 PM
Okay, here goes.

"I'm not some complete newcomer who is completely naïve about the whole business."

Eruwen
07-10-2003, 07:35 AM
Wow, um...a little tough there, Samwise...I seriously don't even know where to begin on guessing...so I'll go with John Rhys-Davies. Where did you find that anyway?

Samwise
07-10-2003, 09:50 AM
Aw, Miss Eruwen...not much harder than one of yours! smilies/biggrin.gif
I found it surfing around.
Nope. Not Mr. Rhys-Davies. Another guess?

Horse-Maiden of the Shire
07-10-2003, 11:41 AM
Well, it sounds like someone who has acted before, so...
Sean Astin?

Samwise
07-10-2003, 02:10 PM
Nope, not Mr. Astin. smilies/smile.gif

Neferchoirwen
07-11-2003, 05:43 AM
Viggo probably, except that the only motivation he had for the film was his son...

Eruwen
07-11-2003, 08:33 AM
Well it don't really sound like it could be one of the Hobbit boys, so I'll go with Bernard Hill. Just a random answer there and maybe I'll get lucky. You never know.

merry03
07-11-2003, 09:02 AM
It sounds like someone new to the whole acting business, so is it Orlando Bloom?

Samwise
07-11-2003, 02:14 PM
Sorry, no one's got it yet.

Eruwen
07-11-2003, 06:29 PM
Ugh, Miranda Otto?

Horse-Maiden of the Shire
07-11-2003, 07:17 PM
Hey, don't say Ugh! Don't get mad, get Glad!
Er...sorry.

Is it Brad Dourif?

Eruwen
07-11-2003, 07:34 PM
Oh, I wasn't getting mad. I'm just running out of choices for I have no clue who to choose!!!

Anyway, I'll choose again...Andy Serkis?

Samwise
07-11-2003, 09:37 PM
You were right the first time, Eruwen, it was Miranda Otto. No "ugh", though. smilies/wink.gif

Quote on!

Eruwen
07-12-2003, 11:49 AM
I knew picking those ones that I never guess would pay off eventually. Oh, and sorry about the "Ugh". My friend got me really fistrated and I guess it got worse when I was looking at this thread. Anyway, ok...here's the next quote...

He's a man that is very easy to respect.

Ok guess who it is, and I'll tell you now I am excited because this might not be the easiest quote. smilies/evil.gif

Horse-Maiden of the Shire
07-12-2003, 12:59 PM
Christopher Lee about Ian McKellen?

Eruwen
07-12-2003, 01:03 PM
Nope, sorry, oh and another thing I forgot to mention. You don't have to say who it's talking about if you don't want to. I'll tell you that at the end, for it gives no hints towards the quote anyway. Just thought I'd share that.

Horse-Maiden of the Shire
07-12-2003, 01:16 PM
Hmm...arr. Maybe Viggo?

Eruwen
07-12-2003, 03:43 PM
Not him either. Lol. This is gonna take a while...I can already see it. Don't you just love when people find quotes like that? smilies/wink.gif smilies/evil.gif

EDIT: Oh, and just so people don't have to keep switching from page to page to look at the quote, here is is again...

He's a man that is very easy to respect.

Is it maybe Bernard Hill?

Samwise
07-12-2003, 04:05 PM
Sir Ian Mckellen? (he's been said, but someone spoke of him as who it's about, which Eruwen said dosen't matter...) smilies/wink.gif

Eruwen
07-12-2003, 09:09 PM
No and no. Ooh, I am loving this. Sorry, but I love that for once I have found a quote like one Eärendil would always find. It's exciting from my point of view. smilies/smile.gif

Samwise
07-12-2003, 09:22 PM
Oi...Sean Astin?

Eruwen
07-12-2003, 09:26 PM
No, and since many guesses have already been given with no luck...I shall give a few hints. Hmm...let's see what I can come up with.

1. The quote is done by a male. {Don't that help? smilies/wink.gif}

2. The guy is talking about his own character in the movie.

3. This person is not often guessed, nor used in quotes, nor spoken of in this topic really. I just happened to come across an interview with him and decided he would be a good choice.

Ok, take those and keep on guessing everyone! I hope they help.

Samwise
07-12-2003, 09:31 PM
Hugo Weaving? smilies/tongue.gif

Eruwen
07-12-2003, 09:39 PM
Nope, sorry, but you are getting the idea of what sort of person he is. As in...not one of the majorly guessed people.

07-12-2003, 09:43 PM
no clue no clue no clue....Ian Holm?

Gorwingel
07-13-2003, 01:14 AM
Sean Bean?

If I got this correct (which I doubt I did), just go on without me. I am leaving tomorrow for Comic-Con in San Diego. I am going to be gone for 2 weeks, and I don't want this thread to go idle.

Yes, David Wenham, Luthien. Well, that lasted long enough. Your turn!

Luthien_ Tinuviel

Okay, this is a rather long quote, from a rather obscure interview. Good luck!
You don't just work for Peter, you also work for Fran (Frances Walsh). Peter might have one idea and Fran might have another, and somewhere in the middle is what you need to do. I think Peter was happy with my first (shots), but I don't think Fran was, and Fran scared me more then Peter did.

Nobody has it yet. why do people always guess the hobbit actors first? smilies/smile.gif I think it's the saying that the actor was scared of Fran that does it. Somehow it just seems like the hobbits are more vulnerable.

Samwise
07-15-2003, 04:26 PM
Okay, then....Liv Tyler?

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-15-2003, 04:58 PM
Nooooo.... I can see what you mean, Eruwen. This is fun. I think I'll give you all a hint. The actor who said this is male, and his character is rather, um, odd.

Samwise
07-15-2003, 05:05 PM
Brad Dourif?

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-15-2003, 05:15 PM
You got it, Samwise! Your turn! smilies/biggrin.gif

Samwise
07-15-2003, 05:21 PM
Whoa...okay...
(Goes to look for a quote....)

Samwise
07-15-2003, 05:29 PM
Here we are:
One thing that makes acting in films a worthy endeavor for me is how the movies take on a life of their own over time.

Eruwen
07-15-2003, 06:08 PM
Ian McKellen? It sounds like him...kinda. Oh, did I spell his name wrong? It looks wrong to me, but I'm not sure and this is strange cause I have been spelling his name forever.

Samwise
07-15-2003, 06:13 PM
Mmm...I don't think it's wrong, Eruwen. The spelling, anywhoo. That's not the person who said the quote, however.

Eruwen
07-16-2003, 09:26 AM
Oh, Samwise, you almost got me...for a sec there. smilies/wink.gif Oh well, my next guess is Christopher Lee. I don't know, it just doesn't sound like a really young person, like the Hobbits, who would have said it.

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-16-2003, 04:22 PM
I'm going to have to agree with Eruwen and guess someone who is older. Ummm... Ian Holm?

Samwise
07-16-2003, 05:42 PM
Well, no one has it, yet. The person who spoke this quote was saying this in a reference to a movie they had previously done.
I will not be on again until possibly late tomorrow, 'cause at my house we are SWAMPED with company, so keep guessing and I will be back on ASAP.

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-16-2003, 07:02 PM
Viggo Mortensen? (shot in the dark)

Eruwen
07-16-2003, 07:54 PM
Um, Karl Urban? I'm just guessing here, really, I have no clue.

Tarien Ithil
07-17-2003, 09:14 AM
Cate Blanchett?

*prays that it would be right*

Samwise
07-17-2003, 05:45 PM
No, no one has it right yet...the actor might not be as old as you think he/she is.

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-17-2003, 06:41 PM
Okay, sort of young person. Miranda Otto?

Cinderella
07-17-2003, 06:44 PM
I say Elijah Wood...

Samwise
07-17-2003, 06:46 PM
Nope, and nope, but you're closer. The movie this person is talking about was out in 1985. I know that won't help some people, but...

Cinderella
07-17-2003, 06:49 PM
oh oh!!! Sean Astin!!

Samwise
07-17-2003, 06:59 PM
You would of course be right. smilies/smile.gif I'm guessing you know the movie he's talking about, too..... smilies/wink.gif

Anyway, QUOTE on!~

Cinderella
07-17-2003, 07:03 PM
Quite! since the answer was quite litterally right in front of me! alright then...

"Yes we trained for about three or four weeks before I started but unfortunately I didn't get to do more sword fighting - I wanted to do more."

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-17-2003, 07:07 PM
Someone who didn't do much swordfighting... um, Billy Boyd? (You beat me! I had the nagging thought that it would be the famous Mr. Astin, but I didn't act on my thought. Grrr... Oh well.)

Cinderella
07-17-2003, 07:12 PM
Sorry not Billy...

I didn't have a clue until I saw the 1985 clue and then I suddenly noticed Samwise's Sig and Avatar!

Eruwen
07-17-2003, 07:13 PM
Elijah Wood? HOPES!!!! Cause I've heard this one before!!

Oh, and Samwise, I shoulda known it was Sean. How clueless could I be?

Cinderella
07-17-2003, 07:18 PM
Nope, not Elijah

Eruwen
07-17-2003, 07:21 PM
Sean Astin? He was upset about swordfighting at some point.

Cinderella
07-17-2003, 07:26 PM
Not Sean either!

I knew this one would be tricky smilies/evil.gif , try and think outside the box a bit

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-17-2003, 07:45 PM
Think outside the box... um, David Wenham? Didn't he have a sword?

Eruwen
07-17-2003, 07:46 PM
Well it's not Viggo cause that's who I thought. And which box? The fellowship box or the hobbit box or what? Well anyway, I'll guess again...is it Orlando? He did mostly archery so I'll go with him though I doubt it's right.

Cinderella

No and no

No and no again... a clue perhaps?

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-18-2003, 10:49 AM
Was it Liv Tyler? Because she has a sword with her during the flight to the ford, but she doesn't ever really use it, and her scenes got cut out of Helm's Deep (thank goodness!)

Cinderella
07-18-2003, 10:55 AM
Nope but you're ever so close Luthien

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-18-2003, 11:24 AM
Ah! It must be Eowyn!

Cinderella
07-18-2003, 07:20 PM
Close enough Luthien, I got your point anyhow. Yes it was the lovely and talented Miranda Otto who wished she could have used her sword skills a bit more smilies/wink.gif

Your go!

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-19-2003, 06:33 PM
Oops, I was in a hurry when I wrote that. Sorry I didn't give the actor's name! smilies/smile.gif

The Hobbit! The Lorax! The Lorax!

I'm being really evil here and giving you only that short quote to work with. smilies/evil.gif smilies/biggrin.gif

Cinderella
07-19-2003, 06:56 PM
Ok...just a wild random first guess from the peanut gallery...

Mr. Elijah Wood possibly?

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-19-2003, 07:18 PM
noooooo.....

Cinderella
07-19-2003, 07:23 PM
Is it just me Luthien or have you and I completely taken over this game? smilies/evil.gif

How about Ian Holm?

(I'm now v. curious as to what said actor is talking about in this quote...)

Samwise
07-19-2003, 09:33 PM
"The Lorax" is a very DEEP book --(well, DEEP compared to some of his other books) written by Theodore Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss).

As to who said the quote....

No clue. Sean Astin?

Eruwen
07-19-2003, 09:57 PM

Ian McKellen? smilies/confused.gif smilies/confused.gif smilies/confused.gif

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-20-2003, 04:45 PM
Is it just me Luthien or have you and I completely taken over this game?

Cinderella, I'd pretty much have to agree with you on that one. Although Samwise seems to be frequenting this thread as well. And my failure to reply to everyone's guesses was not an indication of the correctness of the quote, by the way. smilies/smile.gif

Samwise, you got it right with your first guess. I figured I'd put up an obscure Sean Astin smilies/biggrin.gif quote to see if you would recognize it.

You were wondering what the weird quote was about. It's from an interview on theonering.net, where Mr. Astin speaks about the books he likes to read to his daughter, among other things. My quote is from a part where he starts talking about how he likes the Lorax, "I speak for the trees", etc.

It is now Samwise's turn.

Samwise
07-20-2003, 10:13 PM
AGAIN??? Goodness sakes.....
Off I go to find a quote... smilies/wink.gif
Speaking of books Mr. Astin likes to read to his daughter, anyone ever heard him read, "A Bad Case of Stripes? "

Samwise
07-20-2003, 10:19 PM
Okay, here we go:
"I can't believe most of the opportunities that I've had...I've sort of lived most of those boyhood, childish, backyard dreams..."

Have at it!

vanwalossien
07-21-2003, 12:35 PM

Or, maybe Orlando Bloom?

Horse maiden's got it! Not too hard, that time. smilies/wink.gif

Luthien_ Tinuviel

Oh, and Samwise: I saw him read "A Bad Case of Stripes". It was cool. Lima beans! smilies/smile.gif

Horse-Maiden of the Shire
07-21-2003, 06:39 PM
Neither the Bean nor the Wood.

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-21-2003, 07:43 PM
I think I just remembered. Could it by any chance be Viggo Mortensen, talking about his appearance as Strider in the Prancing Pony?

Horse-Maiden of the Shire
07-21-2003, 09:59 PM
Ding ding ding! The nightingale has it! It was Viggo, but he was talking about when he was on the street after a gym workout and someone called the cops.

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-22-2003, 04:56 PM
Oops. Oh well. I guess I was close enough. Thanks, Horsemaiden! Okay, here's a new one:

He is forced to act.

This is the actor speaking about his character. That's the only clue. Good luck!

Samwise
07-22-2003, 05:12 PM
No clue, so here I go with my usual round of guessing....

Viggo Mortensen?

Cinderella
07-22-2003, 06:07 PM

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-24-2003, 07:53 PM
Your clue, and it's a very obscure one, is "city". This has something to do with the actor's name. smilies/smile.gif

Samwise
07-24-2003, 08:07 PM
City ??? Er....no clue at ALL. smilies/frown.gif

Sean Astin?

Rochelle
07-24-2003, 09:38 PM
My input would be Sean Bean Wild guess...

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-25-2003, 01:15 PM
Still no. Think of last name and words that have to do with a city...

Another clue: This actor does not appear in FOTR.

Just as a refresher, the guesses so far have been:
Viggo Mortensen
Elijah Wood
Liv Tyler
Bernard Hill
Dominic Monaghan
Sean Astin
Sean Bean

The quote was
He is forced to act.

This is the actor speaking about his character. Good luck!

Nope.

This actor/actress' character appeared...about midway through FOTR.

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-26-2003, 08:56 PM
Surely you don't mean Hugo Weaving?

Samwise
07-26-2003, 08:59 PM
You're right, I don't. The character of this actor/actress appears...a bit later than Rivendell.

StarJewel

Cate Blanchett? Or her character's husband, Marton Csokas (probably spelled that wrong)

Luthien_ Tinuviel

StarJewel probably got it right, but I'll venture to guess Lawrence Makoare (he played Lurtz).

It comes from watching the special features in the EE over and over... smilies/biggrin.gif

So we had more champagne!

Eruwen
07-28-2003, 10:28 AM
Billy Boyd. He was talking about how it was his birthday and he and Orlando had champagne on the plane, and then when they got to NZ it was his birthday again due to the time difference so they had some more champagne. Yes, I've watched the special features many times as well.

Horse-Maiden of the Shire
07-28-2003, 01:05 PM
Wow! A whole four minute interval on that one! smilies/biggrin.gif

Your go, Eruwen.

Eruwen
07-29-2003, 10:00 AM
Yeah, I think I have watched the special features about as many times as I've watched the movie. {And I have the movie memorized now seeing I've seen it 20 times.}

Anyway, here's the next quote:

I got my dirt...

This is really of an easy one, but it's all I could come up with off the top of my head. It won't take long, but go at it!

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-29-2003, 10:06 AM
That would be Elijah Wood. (Once again from the special features, and I have seen them numerous times as well). smilies/biggrin.gif

Eruwen
07-29-2003, 08:04 PM
Yeah, I figured it was really easy. I even tried only putting in a segment of the quote to make you think a little harder, but I guess it's just too familiar of a part in the DVD. Your go, Luthien.

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-30-2003, 05:47 PM
Thankyou! Let's see... I now have a list of funny quotes to be used on this thread, so it is hard to choose which one to use... How about this one?

...doing the drunken Sam walk...

Try to solve that one! smilies/biggrin.gif

Horse-Maiden of the Shire
07-30-2003, 07:14 PM
The drunken Sam walk? *laughs*

Luthien_ Tinuviel
07-30-2003, 07:19 PM
Yes, it actually is! First guess too! Very good job, Horse-Maiden! It is Elijah Wood on the EE commentary talking about BK the stunt double "doing the druken Sam walk" aftr leaving the Green Dragon Inn. Your turn!

Horse-Maiden of the Shire

Horse Maiden? Are you out there? You know, very often we get people who are supposed to post a quote and dont come back to do it, but rarely do we ever have the situation where the person doesn't come back to say who got it right. Is there a day limit on this type of thing as well? I mean, how long should we go like this?

Thank you, Eärendil! I didn't want to wait 10 days, but it seemed that every time this happens that's how long we wait, so I just threw it in there. But here's the next quote...cause I have enough time to post one.

"You can't really figure out what he's saying,"

This is sort of an easy one, but in spite of recent events that may be taking place in about 5 months, I decided to do a quote by this particular person. So go ahead...guess...if you even have to.

Luthien_ Tinuviel
08-08-2003, 11:17 AM
Isn't that Elijah Wood talking about Ian McKellen's protests to the hobbit actors playing loud music at five in the morning?

Eruwen
08-08-2003, 01:45 PM
Yes, Luthien, it is Elijah. The whole quote:

"Ian shared our trailor. So if you can imagine, the four Hobbits ina trailer with Ian McKellen...So that became kinda difficult...You know, you'd kinda hear him sort of...aargh!!! in the back of the trailor, aaarrrgh!!! at some point just protesting in some sort of, you know...you can't really figure out what he's saying, just protesting."

Sorry, but all are wrong. We all seem to have reversed our patterns of guessing, but it's not working very well. Keep trying! smilies/biggrin.gif

(Oh wait. I guess a clue might be nice. The quote is a response to someone saying something along the lines of (this is a rough paraphrase): "How did you find that out? I didn't know that! How did you know that?")

Good luck! smilies/wink.gif
