I especially loved the Who-owls, Freud turning into Gandalf, and celery and broccoli.Exactly my thoughts - and Laurinque's drawing & sentence - well the whole snowmonster eating a butterman stuff, including Greenie's hilarious pic, Pitchwife's eye for this stuff, Rune's pic (look at the expression there!)! I mean all of it! :)

I did actually catch a short glimpse of this while giving an exam to the students. They must have wondered what it was with their teacher who started giggling and smiling uncontrollably while supervising the exam and browsing the net in front of them... :D

Which also means: I'm in for the next round!

Revived to some degree, but I still don't know where to begin to heap the praise on everybody. Some intriguing transmutations here, like owls > the Who (I love that one!) > Mac and Rikae > Faramir and Éowyn, who then disappeared for a while, with Faramir mysteriously reappearing later and his brain turning into taters... And I have to say Urwen's picture was a masterpiece of abstract expressionism:D!

Oh, and I'm so totally in for the next round.

Well, I wonder which of the PTs has been taking long, the one two rounds ago, which was accused of being too "lenient", or this one, which many (or at least me) expected to try to be "swift and merciless"... Inns make delays, but...

Anyway, I am just warning you that I am the next one in line and since I have been so for already more than a week, I need to remark: I can write my sentence rather quickly when it comes. But if my turn does not come for another week, I might not be able to write it for another few weeks after that, as I will be in the middle of a desert by then (literally). Just a warning :p

I think there are many hints to many different things randomly depending on the various posters, but I think most people don't get all of them.* I don't understand for instance Doctor Who either and I have never despaired because of that.

We are at an interesting point, here, guys! Adaneth is next on the list, but they haven't been on the Downs since 28th of January. Last time they came up for a turn there was no response. But there are no more drawers left.

As I see it, there are four options...

1) PM Adaneth anyway and give them a few weeks to respond.
2) Pick a new player to draw our last picture
3) Get Durelin to switch to drawing again or
4) Finish it now.

After a few unsuccesful experiments to reach invisibility by slimming Gollum sticks to his own interpretation of the Phantom Queen's low-carb diet.

Hidden in the clutter of said mantelpiece was Eonwe. With agility that would embarrass an elephant, he hopped to the telephone and then broke it apart before rearranging it into this pattern…

A Telephone Repairs Company sent wilwarin538 around to fix it. She was so sickened by the sight of it that, once she had finished fixing it, she dialled a random number and screamed down the phone…

Gollum abandons his quest for invisibility and signs up for Queen Phantom's new fitness program.

Volo, the phone operator, almost spilled his tea all over the control panel. He avoided doing so by shoving an ent into a wood chipper. The chippings flew out of the window and made this pattern in the air.

What do you all think of me trying to run two games at once, with the same players? You would get to draw for one game and write for the other. I could stagger them so you're not getting both at once. It would certainly be quicker than a double game with many players.

I could even run a second game with fewer people (while doubling?) or something if you feel up to it.

But that detracts little from the mind-blowing effect of the whole thing. So many great pictures here, it's really hard to pick favourites! I especially like Agan's Goya-troll, BG's and wilwa's collages and Diamond's green delirium, but Oddwen's Tevildo-Attack is beyond awesome. Hell hath no fury like a cat written out of the legendarium, obviously.

I think running two simultaneously is not a big deal, if the Mod can manage it (and not mix up two games together), of course it's very likely one of the games will eventually become faster than the other - but that's actually better, so that we aren't "overstuffed" when the horror is revealed. The only thing is hoping that it won't come to a player drawing/writing two things at the same time, but that will anyway depend on luck and on how much the two PTs' lengths spread...

I don't think that will be a problem. There's always an opportunity to switch places with someone in the list, unless you're the last one in both games.

You can start disbelieving right away - it is Paint (plus a background texture I found somewhere on the web, and a little tweaking with IrfanView, but mostly just Paint). Using a tablet helps, but even with a mouse you can draw quite decently if you do it under zoom and then reduce the size, which makes everything look smoother and less pixelly. No superpowers involved.:)

Like if you get chocolate on your fingers and try to lick it off, but there's always that little bit between your fingers you can't quite lick clean, and you're not near a sink so you can't wash your hands so your fingers stick together a little bit, but they still taste like chocolate so you still keep licking them, so they stay nice and damp and sticky and sweet, and you don't really mind even if you're licking sand or hair because hey...it's still tasty. The fact that the Lannisters started crossbreeding with piglets led Frodo and the Witch-King into an unlikely hippie alliance. he demanded of the goblin waiter. He was served numerous dishes of random and disgusting things, and each time he sent them back, demanding his original order in increasingly frantic bellows.

Nearby diner Hookbill the Goomba couldn't help overhear, and doodled this image on the tablecloth with his crayons.

Rune had been banned from the fine restaurant long ago for crimes against fashion, but from his vantage point at the window where he stood every afternoon from 2:16 until 4:01, he could see the picture Hooky was drawing. He was heard by everyone to mutter

An unholy alliance, led by the Witch King, is taken by surprise by the most unlikely of enemies Thinlomien heard his muttering and was afraid. Had she been found out? Quickly, she hid her ill-gotten wealth and drew this map so she could find her way back to it.

I'd add, that you could switch places with someone if the timetable suddenly looks pretty bad for you. But having a deal on a DL would help setting one's priorities right. (Yeah, I know that concerns myself probably more than many others... and that's one reason I'm saying it.) :)

I don't mind writing or drawing, so you can toss me around to make everyone happy. :) I like the DL idea, and the double game could work as well. For the DL, maybe give a week for each? Or even less for writing, since, well, how long can it take you to write a sentence? (unless there are pigs and Lannisters and hippie aliances and Alien all in one place... :p)

Only thing is, I'm away for a week in the first half of April, and I don't want to hold up the game. So if my turn comes around that time I might have to switch with someone. (though realistically you never know how fast the PT will go (hey, that rhymes!). Either it takes forever or I don't check the thread often enough to see all the names italicised...)

As for that, I don't care if we have single or double PT, but I think it doesn't matter whether we have a fast single PT and then another fast single PT or a long double PT. The worst thing that could happen would be a single PT that takes as long as a double PT. Now that would be something bad.
