Hallo! I'm new . . . and I see I'm the first to post an introduction- yay! *ahem*

My name is Linaeve, but you can call me Lina. Linaeve supposedly means tree of song in some language or the other, and I'm told Lina means light in Italian. That said, I'm a senior in high school. Don't talk to me about colleges because I WILL slap you . . . or something! I swear, every time someone finds out I'm a senior, the first question out of their mouths is, "Do you know what college you're going to yet?" This craze with colleges is just one of my many pet peeves- I could go on raging about it forever.

Anyway, I'm a converted Tolkien fanatic. I was getting irritated because when the first Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings movies were due to be released, everyone was comparing the two, and I was convinced that nothing could beat Harry Potter. Well, one of my friends convinced me to read The Hobbit. I ended up devouring the rest of the books in about a week and a half, maybe even less. I'm so glad I found this site!

My other passions include classical music, philosophy, anything I don't know much of, Chinese literature and history, and Judaism. You can find a pretty complete list of my hobbies in my profile. Anyway, this introduction is much longer than I planned it to be! I'm glad you lasted this long, and I'm even happier to be here smilies/smile.gif

Gasp! It never fails. The official welcome line here is "Enjoy being dead" I wonder how often I've said that? Not that it's bad or anything, just interesting how people have come to say it automatically.

Moving along: Hey Lina...welcome to the downs. A converted LOTR fan, eh?(little canadian lingo for you, smilies/tongue.gif ) Me too. But I didn't get into Harry Potter until after I was converted. I have this problem that I get real skeptical about new fads. And when HP came out I just gave it the cold shoulder. I didn't read the books until I got them for christmas(2001) and didn't see the movie until it came out on video(who knows when) However, I hopped onto the LOTR bandwagon almost immediately after seeing the movie. I'm still pretty weary of new fads, but old habits die hard, I suppose.

I'm a freshman, and I also have been asked that. Give me a year to get used to high school, at least! smilies/mad.gif So many people think you need to have your future planned almost from birth, or something like that. Oops, I'm ranting. *stopstopstop!* ok, I will stop now.

Anyway, greetings to all new newbies or old newbies. (did that make sense? ummm...I think not) Enjoy thy deceasedness here at the 'downs! (is 'deceasedness' a word? Well, it is now!) Phew I'm glad I got that off my chest. I ntorduce myself, hmm. I have been deeply in love with Pippin ever since I read LOTR two years ago. I am still at school (unfortunately) but I don't live in America and so don't know what grade I would be in. I love writing and hope to be an author some day....

Well, I don't know if this'll make you feel any better, but my cousin already had a college counselor when she was a freshman! He helped her pick out the right courses to take and everything. And then supposedly there was a Chinese couple that named their son Harvmit, after Harvard and MIT. Now that's crazy!

Anyway, just so's we don't get off topic- welcome to all fellow newbies! And I will say that I do enjoy being dead oh so very much! smilies/tongue.gif

By the way chat speak is a nono and you should read the old Novices and newcommers for some good advice. Watch the old people here and see what they are doing and read all the rules before you jump into an RP.

Technically I'm not a New Corpse, but I've only just found this thread.

I'm in Year 10, for all those in England. I was converted to Lotr when a new girl in my class at school joined our gang and mysteriously liked Legolas. Now I'm into the whole shebang. My friend regrets the day when she let on that she liked him, because now I won't stop talking about Lotr and the BD.
For other hobbies of mine, I've been a fan of archery since I was 11. I've done it several times now and hope to join a club soon. I enjoy Geography, for some strange reason, and I play the Saxaphone. I'm currently Grade 4.

I have no idea what kind of schooling everybody is in. I'm just in Grade 11 in high school if that counts. I'm 16 and this is my 12th year in school, K, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11.

and I play the Saxaphone. Anybody who plays an instrument or sings or does something musical (even appreciate it) has got my thumbs up.

and I've never been on any discussion forums before EVER so I bet I do something stupid and make a fool of myself.... Do not worry about a thing, I was brand new once as well and you pick up very quickly. Happy hunting.

Hi, I signed in yesterday, but I visited this Forum before.

I like the quiz' here.

The first time of LOTR in my life was the Bakshi-movie. Since that time I read a lot of Tolkien's work. I'm nearly finished with HoME.

As my name shows, I'm more interested in the Sil. Since someone has "stolen" my favorit name Maglor (wich I use in some other boards), I decided to go down the line. smilies/wink.gif

I am Also a freshman at high school but I think there is only one person who knows more than me about LOTR at school. I started to read the books in 6th grade and have been hooked ever since. I, for some reason got into LotR and have never really known why. Now my sister is a "wannabe-ringer" and i will never forgive her.

I wonder if PJ will have the dwarves at Pelennor since the Elves were at Helms Deep.

I'm Castamir. I've been interested in Tolkein for 21 years, and have read The lord of the rings 25 times fully, and the sil 18 times fully, as well as all of the others at leastb 10 times. This probabley sounds really sad but i don't care.

My name is Firefoot. I have been a LotR freak for almost two years now. I don't like the movie near as much as the book. When I started the Hobbit I had no idea what it was about and by the time I was on the second page I was hooked. I finished LotR in about nine days over spring break.

Hi everybody!

The name's Caoimhin, or just Caoi for short (or if you're lazy). In case you're wondering what the name means, it is the Irish/Gaelic version of my real name (Kevin). I had a brother who posted here a while back (Barodir, though he never posted much and only did some of the RPG's) who got me interested in the forums, and I just rediscovered the forums as of late.

I've been a LotR fan since the first movie came out (though I did read the Hobbit long before that). Afterwards, I was entralled with Middle Earth, and quickly went to read the Trilogy and anything else I could get my hands on.

I'm definitely looking forward to wasting all my time on the forums now. smilies/biggrin.gif

Hey all! I'm new to this forum.. be nice.. Or i will kill you! smilies/smile.gif I'm Naz.. From Norway.. Or if it's middle earth that count's i would say i would fit perfectly into.. Rohan.. I am a great Horse rider! As good as they come norwegian Style.. Uhm.. What more is there to say? I am no wannabe Elf person.. I am a true human.. Really.. Legolas is cool and all but he is so weak!! In hand-to-hand combat.. without swords he would stink! but Boromir, Aragorn, Faramir, Eomer and all the other cool humans in LotR (I will not mention any because i am tired and i want to sleep. And yes i have read the books!! Twice.. Once in each language smilies/biggrin.gif) they are big strong guys and they are so much cooler! Maybe they don't live that long but hanging around the same girl for 4-5000 years will make you sick of her! Soo.. What more is there to say.. I play basketball! Which is fun.. Norway's best team.. Not lost a game in the series for like.. 5-6 years straight.. I'm 16 years old.. Uhm.. well.. Yeah..

Hey, IM Aredhel Ar-Feiniel, and im VERY surprised that my name was not taken as there seem to be a LOT of members here. Anyway, I got really into LOTR after the first movie came out. (please dont hurt me! smilies/tongue.gif )read the books and have been reading them ever since. Its kinda weird becuase I iwll come across poeple who are talking about the movie and i will be correcting them on what the hell they are saying, it gets me really annoyed. Anyone else had that problem?

Anyway, my faves in LOTR are, Aredhel (of course) Fëanor, Elrond, Legolas, Théodred, Éomer, Glorfindel, Éowyn and Boromir, oh! oh! and Grima, (just because he is creepy)

I like Literature, concerts and i know a LOT about actors/actresses/movies, some may say its obsessive to check the entertainment news websites twice a day, but i dont care. smilies/biggrin.gif

Hi I'm Jess as you can see by my name, ya I'm new, I just joined yesterday. I'm thirteen and in eight grade. I started to read the books right when school started and ended a couple of weeks ago (ya I'm knida a slow reader and I never have time). I started to read the books after I saw the movies because I thought they were really good and I thought the books would probably be better. About your questions, depends on what kind of questions they are. If you're confused about Tolkien's writings, check out the books forum, if it's on the movies...check out the movies forum. If you're questions are very specific, you could try the search option, or I'd be happy to answer any I could, and if not me, I'd probably know where abouts to find the thread that concerns them.

Um a lot of my questions are on the creation of Middle-Earth, the Valar, Valinor, and the history of Middle-Earth and the inhabitant. I don't want to sound like a loser asking though, you know becuae I feel kinda weird not knowing a lot about this stuff and seeing people talk in depth about stuff I have no clue on.Thanks for replying!

Another newcomer coming your way! I became a fan when I heard of the first movie. My christmas wish was the book, and that did it. I have searched the libraries for all the books I could find, because this was really interesting. It seems that I can gain some knowledge here by reading posts too. Hey...I'm a lonely freshman guy with a huge love for LOTR. It began when I was 7years old and my Dad read me the books. Now...aside from collecting LOTR stuff...i spend my time playing violin...trying to learn bass guitar...acting...fencing i did for a while...and basically doing anything to protect myself from the boredom of life. A friend told me about the Barrow Downs and I've really enjoyed the forum so far (thanks Thule!). Finally, a place where you can talk about the actual stories rather than how "hot" so-and-so is. My interests include reading, skiing, tennis, spending time with friends and family, playing with my bird and dog, walking in the woods, and writing my own fantasy stories. I have a site dedicated to my writings, which is my homepage. Feel free to visit, but I must warn you, it is under major construction and some parts of it are off limits to the public. I'm currently starting the Silmarillion. What a book!

Hello! I'm Enedbelethiel, and I'm a college student on the east coast. I'm very much new to the Lord of the Rings, though a friend introduced me to The Hobbit in junior high. I have since fallen in love with the trilogy and the movies, and I love anything to do with them. My newfound appreciation was even noticed by my mother, who bought me Nenya last year as a gift. I always wear it, and it's a little piece of the LOTR that I can carry around with me always! I'm very glad to be part of the Barrow-Downs community, and though I've just become a member at the conclusion of the movie trilogy, I am still quite content to talk about it and discuss the past movies and books as well. And after going to see RotK for the second time last night and having no one to talk about it with, I ended up actually registering on here, just so I could put in my opinion that Sam's "I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you!" line is the best in the film.

Hello, my name is Athaniel. I registerd yesterday. I am presently doing a Diploma as a translator and interpreter. Before that I did an M. A. Degree in History and Philosophy. When I was forteen I read LOTR for the first time. I got the English original this Christmas. Although the translation was very good, you cannot beat the original. I am wondering whether any of you have seen the movies? Since I heard about the films I felt reluctant to go, because I did not want my imagination being populated by the characters of the film. Also I heard that much was changed and I found many characters unfitting when watching a magazine on the making of the movies. But what really convinced me not to go was the statement by Tolkien's biographer M. White that Tolkien himself would have hated the film. What do you think?
I hope we are going to have some nice conservations.

Greetings my fellow Wayfarers! I am Faralas, who is actually a character I created for an RPG that I'm in the process of writing and developing. 'Tis indeed good to be dead.

I've been trolling this site for a while and find it wonderful. I read the trilogy many years ago (well over 20) and actually took a course on it when I was in college (back in the First Age). *g* I now realize there is a lot about it that I had forgotten, especially with the movies' release. I'm quite fond of Jackson's interpretation of the Trilogy and look forward to seeing the Return of the King.

I'm a full-time writer and (as noted above) am in the process of developing an interactive fiction fantasy/adventure game for a publisher in the UK. (I live in the US - east coast). So, that about sums up moi. I'm so glad I found this website.

Well, I 'died' aaaaages ago, stayed in this under-world for a time - posting infrequently - then drifted away because of life's darn siren call. But curiousity always appears when you least expect it, and I wanted to come back. Considering that membership has changed completely since I was last here, I re-introduce myself.

Aiya translates as hail, as in the interjectory. My interests are Fantasy (LotR especially), Music (Flute especially), Writing, Reading, Linguistics and Speechwriting. I'm from Downunder, in Sydney.

i wouldnt call myself new as i used 2b a fanatical member a couple of years ago... from around 2001... but i had a lot of exams on so didnt come online much and my account canceled. altho my poems are still on the fanfiction bit! but yeh, i've rejoined!

i initally got into the books after seeing the first movie- i ran home and burried my head in the books reading for 4 conscutive days before ending. im currently half way through the Silmarillion tho ive re-read LOTR and the Hobbit many times. im also very into music, especially the Rolling Stones but also Dire Straits, Jacko, Queen, Led Zep, Elton JOhn, the Darkness and others.

Hi, I'm Rosie.(If anyone's wondering where I gt my wierd name it was off some hobbit name generator- not the barrow downs one) I'm 16 years old and still *sigh* at school. My favourit ME chracter is Frodo... closely followed by Pippin. I'm rather obsessed with Hobbits... in fact I'm even beginning to suspect that I have some Hobbit blood in me. Im short, always thinking with my stomach, I don't like heights or boats and enjoy researching my family history. The only thing that's missing is the hairy feet.... but perhaps that's not such a bad thing. I adore Fan Fiction in it's many shapes and forms particularly as concerns Hobbits. I'm currently reading the Silmarrillion (hope I spelled that right) I'm about a third of the way through. Quite apart from enjoying the book (which I am) I am hoiping it will upgrade me from being just another silly teenage girl with a crush on Elijah Wood to a Serious Tolkien Fan... Small hope.

I actually at first didn't like LOTR. But then I had to read them in one of my classes in college and I LOVED them. I've since read "The Hobbit" and re-read "The Fellowship" and "Two Towers". And am currently working on re-reading "Return of the King". I just saw the movie and it was SO good. I cried for the whole last part of the movie.

My favorite character in LOTR is Sam. I love him because he's so loyal to Frodo. And willing to follow him even into Mordor where he knows they might not come back from. Well I think I've babbled on enough. Bye now! smilies/smile.gif

Hi! i'm Boromir(my real name you shall never know)I'm also thinking about college, people pester me into which college to go to. I'm an avid painter and paint many LOTR models.

I first read the book at 13, and had some difficulty getting into it, but now i can read the books within a week ( 5 days ) impossible?, no, easy as pie!

I have started the Hobbit and am Half way through, my other hobbies include sitting in front of the computer all day and the PS2, i'm sure it'll be great here and i'll take on any hard questions you have...

I just like to use "Hobbit-fancier" but, unlike most hobbits, I don't get into the whole family tree thing, love the water AND heights, and tend to go off alone all the time. I am an English major and was assigned to read The Lord of the Rings last year for one of my classes and have got my hands on any Tolkien I can since then. I have rediscovered my passion for Tolkien after 20 years and it's so much nicer to study him now that I don't have that pesky college to worry about. Amen to that! As for pronouncing Mithcham, all I can gather is that the -ch is a variation on -h and would be pronounced as it is in Bach, thus Mithcham would sound rather like you were clearing your throat! Hello everyone! I'm new to the message board, though I've been to the Barrow Downs many times. It is one of the best Tolkien sites I've ever been to.
I've been a Tolkien fan for a few years now, ever since I read The Hobbit, and the Trilogy. Tolkien's world intrigued me so much, that I also read the Silmarillion. It's been a while since then, but ever since the movies came out, I've been refreshing my memory about the books, so to speak.
I'm currently beginning community college. I like reading, writing (I'm currently writing my own fantasy story), acting, singing, and playing guitar. I hope some day to be a writer, like Tolkien.
I suppose that is all I have to say for now. I look forward to participating on this board.

I'm a devoted LOTR fan. I've read LOTR about forty times, (though most of you have done that) and read every other tolkien work I can get my hands on in Korea.

My favorite character, for some reason, is Eorl the young. I don't know why when he is almost never mentioned in the books.

This is the best lotr site ever and I'm looking forward to joining you all.

I'm technically new here, even though I've posted a bit, and thought I'd post here. After looking over this site, it seems a lot more newb-friendly, generally interesting, and active of many other sites of been to.

I've been a Tolkein fan for a while now and reread every year to pick up new things (just like I reread all my other favorite books). I have a strange obsession with literary evil so watch out for my scizophrenic counterpart, the Demonic Hobbit/Oompa-Loompa version of Kransha. The name (Kransha, that is) is actually a Tolkein-related inside joke that it would take far too long to explain, but I may try someday.

I look forward to posting here and hope this experience will be enjoyable, which already seems assured.

G'day everyone. Though I am new here I know quite a few members from other forums. Like GOTO and Lossentilien. Ohw and I have this weird feeling I know Galadel Vinorel from somewhere but that I can't place.

I've read lotr, the hobbit and the silm, and apart from that, learned a whole lot from other tolkien communeties, believe it or not, those things are the most reliable source for Tolkien facts because it saves you a lot of time looking it up in 20 different books.

My main reason for being here is the RPG room which has a very good reputation. Many of the RPG rooms I got banned for flaming mary sue's which I find utterly annoying. Well, flaming is not the word, just you know, commenting on their mary-sue behaviour. But all the same, they keep constantly annoying me. RPGing is fun and writing fanfics also.

So a bit about me. I'm from Holland and I already got three PM's of mod's asking me if I was this dude named Helkaho....whatever his name was. Who is that dude anyway? I only took this name out of a story of his. But he seems to have done something bad hahahahaha. Anyway, I do dancing and a lot of MSNing outside school. I guess that is much it if you want to know more PM me.

I supose I should introduce myself, along with all the other new members. actualy I am not strictly a new member though I was never increadably active. I was once a member under the name of Melcor, but that was around two years ago. I was in high school and had much spair time on my hands. sence then I managed to lose a girlfriend and dropp out of school temporary so I once again find myself with more spair time on my hands than I know what to do with. so I once again find myself delving into the world of midle earth. and seaking out like minded people with a intence intrest in Tolkiens Work(s)

Namaste Finwe! I had no idea you are Indian. I myself am not, but have spent a good deal of time in the Belgaum area (Karnataka/Maharastra border)and the airport in Mumbai.

It was great fun to visit the old ruins of Vijaynagar and Hampi, or to see places like the red fort and think of Tolkien's world. Almost as if they could have been a part of it!

Hi all, I registered about a week ago, but this is my first post. I don't know much about posting and such, I mostly just like to read posts. I love the Barrow Downs, and I've already directed at least four people here and I'm pretty sure they enjoy it as much as I do.
As far as Tolkien, I grew up with The Hobbit and LOTR, I really can't remember a time when I had never heard of anything Tolkien. The strange thing is that I didn't actually read the books until the end of last year, after the third movie came out. When I first found out that they were making live action movies from LOTR I decided to wait until after the third movie came out to read the books, so I wouldn't be disappointed when I saw the movies. Now that I've read the books I wonder why I waited so long.:)

A few quick hints for all of you new ones to the Barrowdowns Forum, and then I must be off. Post as often as you possibly can, though do maky sure that all of your posts are meaningful. Visit all of the different parts of the forum, for they all contain their own unique things. The role-playing games are fun to participate in, and though there are no new games open at the moment, you may still post in the Green Dragon Inn, which is located in the Shire. Do, please, go to the Shirefirst, though, beforing moving on to Rphan, which is where you will be able to go after "proving your skills" in the Shhire first. Be patient, and if you have any questions just as me or another Barrowdowner for help, we all certainly be glad to assist you in any way that we can.

For now, if I wish you all good luck and a safe journey navigating the maze of the Downs. Hope to see all of you around the Forum! :D

Hi eveyone my name is Lindalirien and if I am not mistaken I think that means fair song maiden (If I am wrong please correct me). Well my real name is Jessica and I'm fourteen. I've come to this site for a long time but just recently came upon the forum. I love the Barrow Downs it's one of the best Lord of the Rings websites I have been to. I can actually talk about things that happen in the books, not just the movies which is a rare thing because all my friends only watched the movies and just briefly skim through the books :( I have been a Tolkien fan since I was about nine, when I first picked up The Hobbit. I have read The Hobbit,all three Lord of the Rings books, I have read these all several times to try to fully understand them.Once I finish the current book I'm reading I am going to try to start The Silmarillion. I don't think I can call myself a true Tolkien fan until I have read that. Ok that's about all I have to say. Bye

I've just registered so this seemed the right place to start.

I'm a long time fan - just about 21 years - I first read LOTR when I was 12, straight after reading The Hobbit, and I've been hooked ever since. Any more 'old-timers' out there? I'd put bets on it

At the moment I have mini-obsessions with the Rohirrim and Saruman, and my current occupation is irritating people who have no interest in the topic, by wittering on about Tolkien at every opportunity.

Hey everyone! I am a new user in this forum. I have been a fan of the Barrow-Downs website for a long time, and now that it has a forum, I could spend even more time here!!

The environment seems nice, so I will start posting around.
:p

A couple of questions though. Why couldn't I find this thread when I was looking for it? I there a "more threads" or "next" button I am missing?? I had to start one and it got deleted. I am confused, since the only way I seem to be able to find this thread is through a link...

Another question, how do I get an avatar??

First, the simple one regarding avatars. This link will help (FAQs) (http://forum.barrowdowns.com/misc.php?s=&action=faq) but I also know that the place to put the avatars is rather diffficult to find, so go to the user cpu and go to edit options and scroll all the way down. There you will have the option to change an avatar.

To find a thread in the forum, use the search function at the top right corner of the page. Or, if you wanted to do it the old fashioned, harder way, scroll to the bottom of the forum. On the bottom right there should be numbers that are links. These are the number of pages that this particular forum has. Just click through them until you find your topic.

It probably did have a forum fo a long time. However, since before the site was "cool", I visited it a couple of times, but then left it for a long time. When I recently came back to it, it had the forums. That's all I know.

I found Barrowdowns a while ago, was inspired by them to start writing fanfiction... which can now be found at fanfiction.net... because I don't write Barrowdowns fanfiction usually...
I love the Lord of the Rings... and really want to know one thing: where can I find Elvish lessons? I want to learn more then just memorized phrases from the movie!!!!!!!!

Try www.ardalambion.com. Having clicked on this link to make sure it went to the right site though, I've discovered that it doesn't. You'll have to type in the address manually - I've also checked that and it does work.

I've tried going to 'advatars, but it won't let me unclick the box that says 'no advatar' so, I'm kinda stuck. :rolleyes: ......

For the avatars, I'm not actually sure anymore. I used to know.

But you can't (or at least I can't) find a ready made Downs one. You have to find a pic that you like that's 64x64 pixels. If you right-click the picture, go to properties and copy the URL you should be able to get an avatar.

But like I said, I'm no longer sure...too many changes here...and the new format while very spick and span doesn't look very friendly.

Hello all newbies! I've been away for quite awhile because when the new systems went up for this site, my proxy system totally blocked it! Grrr.
I've said it before...if you have seen the movies and are attempting the books(or not) and you are confused/have questions, PM me. Seriously, I've been where you are. Not three years ago I was hounding bookworms for more information, then books now I'm on the Christopher Tolkien 12 book series. That man is a massiah to me. Anyhobble, like I said, any problems that maybe you're too lazy to look up in the great caverns of this forum, I'll either have the answer or know where to find it. This also applies to questions concerning this site...but maybe Moderators would be the best people to ask...though I do believe in Order of rank, so I'm always around.

I threw up a thread awhile ago(that sounds gross doesn't it?) about me making a Movie goer's FAQ essay. I'm still doing that and I'd really appreciate your questions. I can't remember my confussions back in the day...I've clouded my mind with too many books.

I'm not really new here. I used to be called 'ainur' but between the switch to V-bulletin and the expiration of my old e-mail, where my password was housed, that sign-on kinda went by the wayside. :( It's okay, though. I don't mind rebuilding my post count. I'm more interested in intelligent and fun discussions. I live in Minnesota, have two dogs that are a handful (Barney and Toby--eighty pounds each), I first read Lord of the Rings in 1971 and my copies of Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales are both first U.S. editions that I bought new and they're still in good shape (fold-out maps and all). I believe balrogs had wings if they wanted them but they never used them and that Tom Bombadil 'is.' His status as an enigma makes him far more interesting than he would be if his existence was explained.

Well, I am new member of this interesting company. Since I am already member of a similar site in Serbia, where I live, I have a lot of experience with Tolkien geeks (as we named ourselves). We have gatherings quite often, and some of members became friends in real life. It will be fun to participate here, I am sure.
Let me tell you few facts about me. I am 34, architect, live in Belgrade; I read Tolkien since highschool, and I still find time to read his books again, not to mention Cristopher's work, which I find very helpfull and interesting too.
I also like SF, as well as Douglas Adams and Terry Prachet. Fantasy books in general are good places to hide from everyday - life.
Excuse me for eventual misspelling, since this is not my native language, and I don't use it frequently.

Um, yeah, hey. I'm new and all that... still jetlagged, so if I appear slow, sorry.
I first read LoTR... ooh, when I was about 11-12, I think. Read the Hobbit when I was 9, found it all rather grooveh, but LoTR was my fave... TTT is still my favouritist book ever. When the FoTR movie came out, I didn't wnt to watch it, in fear that I wouldn't be able to read the books properly again, but in the end I did, and I'm glad I did. Superb. I have been a Legolas fan since I first read the books, so I naturally was sceptic about Orlando Bloom's portrayal, but he did very well, I was rather pleased. Plus, he's not too shabby in the looks department... ;)
So yeah... hey all!

I had a character named Dannin Kaylyn Hyrosha (hence the ID dkhyrosha) and that became my on-line name. People called me DK for the longest time, then I started going by Dani and it just stuck.
