Weird fact.

“I am the” appears twice in each LoTR Book and twice in Silmarillion. The Hobbit uses it five times ruining the symmetry.

Although none fit the first segment ending in a colon.

I’m convinced it starts “I am” though. So I’ll take a T to weed out the third word.

The first word ended in t which made it most likely But or Put or out, but the third word not being “the” meant unlikely to be a location preposition EG “out of the” “put in the”.

The single letter later was either “I” or “A” I assumed “I” which would make the fourth word “me” to setting up the subject I.

And the phrase that fit best was “But as for me”

A far simpler explanation I made a bunch of assumptions and got lucky.
